Thanks to all for the info! In fact we did get Diamond discount for the room with my 16 year old Diamond and her cousin!
-
I took an extra cruise without the family recently and am now Diamond. My kids (16 and 14) would still be Emerald but I think they inherit my status?
Next cruise will be on Symphony next year. The 16 year old is sharing a cabin with an older cousin (Emerald). The 14 year old will be with me.
Questions:
1. Will the 16 year old inherit my diamond status discount for booking the room? Not sure if her being in a separate room would affect that.
2. Will both kids also get 4 drink vouchers (for milkshakes and virgin daiquiris of course)?
Thank you!

You can book the escape room when you get on board Oasis. It’s really good - themed about a space launch.
FYI you also have to book laser tag, skating in the ice rink, and the adult comedy show onboard as well, either through the app or by calling the box office.

Hi,
My teens are interested in signing up for the Try Dive session - on Oasis, does anyone know if it is typically held on the pool deck, or perhaps in the aquatheater pool?
Thanks!

I don't see any sign of nightly comedy on Oasis sailings as well. 😞
And I'm also surprised that the Cats ensemble doesn't also do a revue like show like they used to in years past (it used to be Come Fly with Me or something or something like that)?

Does anyone know how many reserved time sessions Key members have access to for the Flowrider? And are there Key times for the rock wall and waterslides?
Travelling with a bunch of teens that are flowrider fanatics!

Possibly dumb question -- I though on Oasis that you had to book entertainment once you got on board. Have they reverted to allowing you to book ahead of time on the app or on the website? Have only sailed once since Covid (last summer) and we had to reserve as soon as we got on board.
Thanks!

I also bring some custom games to play to celebrate a family member. Sometimes trivia based on an anniversary year, sometimes custom Time’s Up cards related to our family, and my favorite, “[insert family member name] is Always Right”.
For this one, pick a person in your group and bring paper and a writing implement for each player. Ask questions like “favorite sandwich”, “favorite Disney World ride”, “favorite cruise port”, “what job you would want on a cruise ship”, etc.
For example, let’s say I picked Judy as the one who is always right. Judy writes down her top two answers for each question. Then everyone else writes down their guesses as to what Judy chose. Since Judy is always right, she will win, but everyone else gets a point for each time they match her answer and whoever has the most points also wins. I bring along some booby prizes for the winners and and everyone has a great time.

We are a huge board game family. Here are examples of what we might bring:
Skull (favorite for pre dinner with a cocktail)
Quest or One Night ultimate Wereworlf
Just One
Invasion Evasion
Fake Artist Goes to NY
Skull King
and these Apps on phone/iPad:
Triple Agent
Paperback or Hardback
Ticket to Ride
Scotland Yard
Out of the Loop
Patchwork
Obviously we are huge fans of social deduction games. If Blood of the Clocktower arrives before our cruise on Oasis on the 29th I will be sorely tempted to bring it along, but the box is enormous!

Sailing Oasis in July. Bought 4 device surf and stream to share between 8 people. Are there locations where the ship sails that are close enough to shore where service (AT@T) would be available if we needed more people to have intermittent access. Not sure how far off the coast cell service goes, though we go offshore fishing on our own boat in Connecticut and never have a problem (but not sure we are ever out more that 20 miles or so).
thanks!

If I get a reservation for Ripcord by iFly but decide not to do it (or am told I weigh too much) can I give someone else in my party my reservation slot?
-
Thank you all for the replies. I will certainly try to make the reservations myself, but with a group of 11 it might be easier with some help!

Hi,
Wondering if the Diamond Club is open during embarkation on the Odyssey. Going for the holiday cruise with a large party and hoping they can help set up some reservations for us (yes, we are Diamond).
Thank you!Lynn

Reserved a casita for our holiday Odyssey sailing....would love to hear a review!
Thanks!

I have a question about the cabana-looking things on the deck above (and maybe on?) the pool deck. Is this new for Royal, or are they on any other ship? How many will there be? Assuming they will be a pay-for thing to do, and am wondering what the cost might be...they look perfect for a sea day, chair-hogs be darned!
Thanks! Crossing fingers for our New Years 2021 sailing!
-
Anyone have a picture of the menu at the Snack Shack (that are complimentary for the cabanas)?
-
I'm not seeing any coverage of the wave pool? Did that open as well?
We reserved a Thrill Waterpark cabana for our cruise in July, thinking that would be our preferred spot. If it is not/will not open, may rethink that. Also, I'm reading that chairs with umbrellas/shade are easy to find - since our sailing on Adventure will only have 3,000ish guests, maybe we don't even need the cabana (have very fair skinned people who need shade!).
Thanks! So excited for Perfect Day!!!!

Does the water taxi still make 3 stops in Phillipsburg? Was hoping to take it to the one in the center of town, then walk back towards the Greenhouse and take it back to the cruiseport from there. That will be plenty of walking for those in my group.
Second question, I read about a chocolate shop on Old Street that will ship your purchases back to your stateroom for free (presumably so they don’t melt while you are out and about in town). Has anyone done this? I know my kids would enjoy going there but don’t want to spend $$$ on fancy chocolate and then have them melt!
Thanks!

My kids also love the water slide. It is the excursion that costs about 23 bucks and never seems to go on sale (grr). My kids did not like the aqua park at all, as it is quite strenuous to climb up on the floats and bigger kids make them bounce a lot.
The water slide is nicely situated near Columbus cove and you can find a shady place to have chairs set up to serve as a hub. My kids generally bounce back and forth from the beach/water to the slide and I can easily keep track of them.

If your parents enjoy the trivia games onboard, do as I did and create a customized trivia game based on the year they got married. I printed my own answer slips and brought junky prizes for the winning team (we travelled in a group of 12 so split into pairs for teams). We gathered in the pub after dinner one night and I surprised everyone with the game. It was a hit!

On Allure now for the second time, my favorite ship! Service has been great, no issues getting drinks (though they ran out of guava for my favorite guavarita). Balloon animals and face painting offered several times for the kids. Champagne Bar makes the best upscale drinks.... try the Royal Fizz! We did 150 Cental Park for the first time which was good but a bit too much pomp and circumstance for me (server explained to us what a "scallion" was, we could not stop joking about this ever time we had a dish with scallions in it for the rest of the cruise!)
Mamma Mia and Aqua show great as always. Did not do ice show as we had private flowrider time booked. My husband and niece are in the Best of the Best competition tonight, wish them luck!
I also have to say I did not witness any rude behavior from any passenger or staff on this happy voyage! Bummed to be getting off tomorrow!

Sticker books like the Usborn ones were always very popular with my girls and good for a little downtime.

What does everyone recommend on the Hooked menu? We are going for lunch on a sea day.
Thanks!
