Studio cabins are on all the newer ships,( The Epic, Breakaway, Getaway, Escape and Bliss ) except The Joy.  They are very comfortable for one person and priced for one person.

Except for the Joy. No Studios just family and Conciere inside cabins.

Oh I hope not!  Our family enjoyed the Escape more than the Bliss because of the ropes course and sports deck.  We switched our Encore cruise to the Escape because the go kart and laser tag was a one and done for us.  I know some people enjoy them but for the cost and the actual time you spend on them wasn’t worth it.

I do agree about the Escape and the ropes course. I hope they come up with something other than a go cart track on all their ships. Makes them kind of redundant. However the Escape needs to do something about the smoke (no I'm not a smoker) in the 678 area. The Bliss has handled this well with the private room in the Casino. I hope they could do something with this in a remodel situation on the Escape and perhaps add another enclosed area with a bar that could be smoking as well.

I'm thinking about booking a NCL Bliss cruise, but I'm seeing conflicting information of what activities are onboard.  Does the NCL Bliss have a ropes course and climbing wall?  If so, where are they located?

Which ships do have a ropes course and climbing wall?

    Thanks in advance!

The escape has the Ropes Courses and fun water slides. The Joy when she comes out of referb has a large Arcade games area, Race Track and I believe Laser Tag. Bliss has water slides, Race Track, Laser Tag and several elements that are a little more Adult oriented. All ships are a little different in what they offer except of they all float 🙂

I agree,  as i said before cute and silly and doubt very much it takes them a long time to do. That said, i wish they would get rid off the hypnotists and the same Jersey boys show music over and over again on every cruise. OH OH, some people will take offense to that last thing in 4-3-2-1........:🤣

Let's add "After Dark" and "Havanna Nights" too.

OK, my take on this: many of us who have been sailing since the 1980 s didn't know what towel animals were until years after we started. When we saw our first one, most of us loved it and looked forward to what would be in our cabin the next night, but never did it really make a huge difference. Now, if they do discontinue  them it won't make a difference either. certainly no one can really think animal towels make a huge difference in anyone's cruise experience and think of all the towels that have to be laundered after these animals are looked at and thrown to the side? Think of the time it takes each cabin steward to make them and the clutter they also make, especially in some of the smaller cabins? I understand people getting upset about some changes, but anyone being bothered by the lack of towel animals must get bothered with life pretty easily.

If they are going to take Towels animals away then I expect an OBC refunding the cost of creating them in my account as compensation........ Or maybe not 🙂

  6. I was on the Bliss to Alaska this Summer. I used the prepaid transfers through NCL from both the Airport to the Ship and back, If you use this NCL puts you in a proper disembarkation group and onto a shuttle to have you to your flight in time. Or if you choose to carry your own luggage and walk off yourself you were allowed to leave pretty much in the first group which I believe was around 7:30 or 8:00 a.m. The shuttle bus cost was very reasonable, and one of the least expensive options ( I believe 20.00 each way) and kept some of the craziness to a minimum. These became available about 60 days prior to the cruise and I easily made a 1:00 p.m. Flight.

  7. It does seem to be a bit of a conundrum. And possibly the folks in the photos with the pool towels were trying to keep the lounge chairs clean. But it had a real "camped out" look to it.

I think you could very easily sit down and put your feet up, where the back of the heel of your shoe is the only part touching.

Actually the issue here wasn't using the towels. The real issue was these people put towels and other things on the chair and left the OL for almost an hour and a half. This prevented others from using the furniture while they were gone. Thus the name Lounge Hogs and is a very rude to do to other guests. Using a towel under your feet should be fine. :)

  8. No you're definitely not the only one. I'm assuming that they underestimated the amount of beer consumption on this cruise because it was only 70% full (didn't they know that Doug would be onboard?). But they seemed to start running out of things very early. The same thing happened when I was on the Escape last year. It was only a couple of things that ran out, but it was very early in the cruise.

Was on the Escape on a cruise with over 200 Parrot Heads and they ran out of Landshark beer 3 days into the cruise. They knew we were coming and yet failed to stock enough. Go figure!:)

  9. Spice has shrunk considerably on the Bliss. It almost feels forgotten or incomplete, so it’ll be interesting to see what the space becomes. It appears most deck parties have been moved to the vast new pool deck area.

Maybe the'll add a putt put golf course and basketball court?

  10. Pineapple Juice and Sweet & Sour mix.

Another nice thing about the recipe is all those ingredients are widely stocked onboard NCL ships so as long as the bartender has the recipe, they can make it!

I bought all the ingredients and make this at home all the time. Wife LOVES them :)

You sure thats legal where you live? :halo:
