I'm sure they meant S2S = Side-2-Side. It's 2 trips on different ships with turn around on the same day.

    @hockeyluver

I'm not sure why your SIL thinks they would not be allowed to board.

Are they arriving back from their other cruise to a terminal in another city, or some other reason she concerned they won't have time to transfer over to your ship, before boarding closes?

There are lots of message strings on here about people arriving separately. Folks cruise together that travel from different locations and meet up on the ship all the time.  I think you just need to tell check in clerk that they are arriving separately to join you on the ship.

I have already told her that a few times,  she will be at the same port so they just need to walk over to the right terminal.   We will already be on the ship since we are doing a B2B.

  2. My sister is concerned they wont be able to board the ship.  We are doing a journey cruise in January.  Me and my brother in law in one cabin,  my hubby and sister in another.   We are doing the 2 day before on the same ship (b2b),   they are doing a 7 day on a different ship (SBS).  I told her I would ask here to get your insite on this.  I told her as long as they have thier bording pass they will be fine.   She is worried because we will already be on board.

    Thanks for your help!

They can take as much time as they need and occupy as much of the dealer’s attention as they like!  No problem!  I’m talking about when they make the “wrong” play.  Maybe they hit when they should stay or stay when they should hit or split when they shouldn’t, etc.  That changes the cards and while it COULD work out and help the table, more often than not, it seems to make things worse and cause other players to lose hands they would have otherwise won.

Also, I can’t stand it when a cold table starts to warm up and players choose that moment to sit out a hand or go to the bathroom or play two hands when they hadn’t been.  Blackjack is a very streak-y game, and I never want anyone to do anything to change the cards when things are [finally] going well!

And this is why I will never attempt to try to play and learn blackjack!!!

  4. I have one more cruise than my hubby 😄   so my cruise in December will be my 25th  his 24th.  Our pvp put in to apply our milestone OBC to our cruise in January (14 day journey cruise)   Mine is being applied  this is the email reply he received . From reading this you CAN have it applied to your 25th cruise.  Our PVP  will reapply for it after our December cruise.

Thank you for contacting us. We appreciate the opportunity to be of assistance.

Please note that your cruise history shows a total of 23 completed revenue cruises as of this email. Unfortunately, we cannot process the Milestone redemption request until after you have completed your 24th cruise.

Please resubmit after you have completed your 24th cruise.

Thank you for allowing us this opportunity to serve you.

    Best Regards,

Good Idea! I have a couple of easy crochet patterns that don't require much effort. Couple of crochet hooks and 2 or 3 skeins of yarn...

    LOL  same here !!

We are booked on our first journey cruise in January 2024, it leaves Miami the same day as the marathon so we booked the 2 day on the same ship to avoid the traffic.   I am hoping hubby enjoys himself and we can book more longer cruises !!

Our cruise last february I brought a big scoop skein of yarn and I had a couple hooks.   We spent a lot of time listening to a duet from Brazil.    I found out she loved to crochet but didnt bring anything with her.  So I gave her the big skein and a hook.  ❤️

So they will let my 19yo and his girlfriend stay in the interior with out an adult booked to that room?  My husband is booked in the balcony with my minor so I know they won't let him check in without an adult.  I'm hoping my husband is able to come and there won't be an issue but sometime things come up.  Thanks

We have taken our daughters and their then boyfriends (now husbands) with the kids booked in two seperate inside cabins and us in a balcony cabin.  They were all under 25 but since the cabins were booked through us and not on thier own everything was fine.  If I remember correctly they were even one deck down from us.  Your younger son  will NOT  be able to checkin without an adult in the same cabin checking in with him.   I would call carnival and have them move you into that cabin  and take the loss on your hubby's rate.

Before I head to my cruise tomorrow I wanted to share the news on testing which many of you have already received from our wonderful President Christine Duffy.
    It reads as follows.
    August 5, 2022
    Dear Carnival Guest,
We are pleased to share that our COVID protocols continue to evolve. We remain, as always, committed to the health and safety of our guests, crew and the communities we serve. Effective August 8, 2022, guests should be guided by the following COVID-19 testing requirements related to cruises visiting The Bahamas. This applies specifically to itineraries 5 days or shorter only:
    • Vaccinated guests do not have to present a COVID test result at embarkation.
    • All unvaccinated guests must present the negative results of a pre-embarkation test – either
a supervised PCR or an antigen test taken up to three (3) days prior to embarkation.
For complete information on vaccination and testing requirements and other protocols, please visit
our Have Fun. Be Safe. page here.
We apologize for the late notice but trust you will find this to be good news.”
