I currently have 5 cruises booked with Celebrity and after doing my due diligence can honestly say it’s a crap shoot. Two flights I booked from Los Angeles to Fort Lauderdale thru Celebrity. One fare was competitive with Expedia, Jet Blue, Travelocity etc., however the other flight I booked thru Celebrity and PAID $34. I don’t know if the stars in the heavens were aligned, the cruise Gods were smiling down on me, or someone knew I needed a cruise quick or I’d explode. As stated earlier, check around, but try Celebrity as well, you could get lucky. Happy sailing.

Please don’t let those “snarky “ comments add to your fears. There have been heart attack victims who have needed help on several ships in the past few years. It could have been some kind of specialist flown in for a mechanical issue or computer issue or who knows what. Someone delivering something to the ship. Maybe not our copter but a local coast guard copter delivering something. Point is, you’ll never know, so don’t go crazy and second guess what it could have been. If bad, it would have been on the news or media feed.
With the thousands of cruisers sailing over the years without issue, I wouldn’t give it another thought. Come onboard and have a good time and Don’t let ANYONE tell you otherwise.

I’m nearly 70 and have used nearly everything from the drug store to top shelf La Mer. I had a jar of Tatcha I was saving, tried it again because I’d forgotten about it, and ran to the store and bought more. I bought it on QVC (video demonstrates use) and also sold at Sephora. It’s used by the Geisha in Japan and is phenomenal!

Carnival gives nothing for free. That is why we want NO part of a PVP.My experience with Carnival has been much different than yours. Being avid Celebrity cruisers, my last 5 cruises however have been with Carnival, all complimentary sailings.
-
For me the perks on Carnival are the repeat bounceback cruises through the casino:
Going in two weeks on Pride for port charges in a balcony cabin plus $200 OBC and DOU (free drinks in casino):)
I have the same deal on the Sunshine on 9/29.

Sounds like you had a great time!I'm cruising on Sunshine in Dec. Did you take any photos of the interior/decks of the Sunshine? I always like to see what the ship looks like, and although there are threads on here from other past cruisers on Sunshine, more pix is always better!
Check out YouTube where you’ll find deck by deck tours of the Sunshine.

Is the vanilla really that good? I’ve seen bottles in all the port shops, been really tempted, but never bought.

After several cruises, and ongoing head scratching of how to be as unencumbered as possible, I’m buying a waterproof phone case on Amazon. I can take pics thru the transparent case, put my sign and sail along with some cash all in this little lanyard type pouch. Hope it works 😏

We paid for the upgrade to spa balcony a few days ago as well (on the Sunshine) and are looking forward to trying out all the spa benefits! I have also heard that if it's a casino free upgrade they aren't included but the paid upgrades include all the spa benefits!I received a free balcony casino offered cabin on the Sunshine. I called to upgrade to a spa cabin and was told that the free balcony cabins are for a select promotion and upgrades to a spa cabin are not possible. Guess I’ll be paying for use of the spa. Can’t wait!!!!

Awesome...thank you!

:) Great, thank you
Yes, my current reservation has my name and VIFP number on one room, my wife’s on the second room.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Has anyone ever booked a room using the wife’s VIFP number for one room and the husbands VIFP number for a second room? 5 of us are traveling and would like to take advantage of any and all discounts. Since we’re both seniors and have cruised multiple times with Carnival, I’m wondering if this has been done by anyone. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Westin Fort Lauderdale
9/29 check in for one nite only.
Priceline $92.00, booked yesterday.

I do it also. I will order two shrimp appetizers almost every night and on lobster night, watch out! I order two. Enjoy, life's to short, and so are most cruises. Whenever I order more than one item, I remind myself that I'll be home in xxx days stirin up some good ole hamburger helper (lol).:')

:DLoving your review and pics. It takes so much time and effort to post and answer questions, but I log in every night to read about peoples experiences on their cruises. We're going on the Miracle in 3 weeks and the Glory in September. Thank you so much for sharing!'

It's a shame no one's answered, I'm sailing this Saturday and was wondering the same.

For anyone who's interested, youtube has a few videos of NYE celebrations on the Reflection. My son is celebrating his 40th birthday, so he, his fiancee, myself and his dad are all going. Peeing in my pants, so excited.

THANKS Everyone for responding. I did research my little heart out on this one and found conflicting information online, specifically pictures that were posted. I called Celebrity and they do not show this suite as having an obstructed view. All that being said, I changed to 8347 and my son to 8340 so we could both be on the same deck. Worked out afterall, thanks again to everyone who responded!!!

Someone/anyone please help me. I've booked Sky Suite 1665 on the Reflection for the NYE sailing. I'm just finding out now, through reviews on CC that the balcony has a partially obstructed view. What.....,I'm disappointed that I wasn't informed of this when I booked. Would some kind soul out there please tell me just how intrusive the window washing equipment is. Love the location, love the room, don't love paying bucu bucks for a bad view. Help!

I cruise the Pride and had an Aft balcony and you could hear a hum but I never noticed a shaking or anything remotely violent. I've only been on one other cruise so far but I would have done it again. I thought it was a great room, balcony, and view.
What cabin were you in?
-
What cabin were you ion? I just booked 5297 and am seriously thinking about changing. Help

I'm looking forward to doing the Panama Canal again on the Infinity next week. Has anyone heard from current passengers about any NoroVirus cases. I'm hoping that it's all wiped out by now.
Ken,
See you on board! I'll be the one with the stupid grin on my face and a cocktail in my hand (lol). Where's Waldo, right?

I read a recent post that said there is no longer smoking allowed portside on the pool deck. Anyone recently off the Reflection that can verify this? The post said it has been closed because smoke gets trapped under the overhang. Since I am a smoker I find this disturbing since it was the only covered area available for rainy days.
I'm with you Bobbie I'm a smoker too and have been wondering the same thing. Have a great cruise!

Your review and pics are the best I have ever seen from anyone! I not only appreciated the information but the formatting was perfect, thank you so much! Sailing on her in September.
