  1. I'm not Elite....yet.....but I like a lot of Ginger's ideas. I'm also not much interested in another party to go to. The Ultimate Drink Card or Coffee Card, that I would definitley use as would most passengers.

Shogun, missed how you were injured, I best get caught up on your Live thread. Sorry to hear you're not 100% after a cruise!

  2. If only it was available at all the ports! We are arriving in NY on the Sea Princess with a 4pm flight. It would be great if we didn't have to deal with the luggage but not an option at this time. We could always hope that by the time we arrive it's available.

  3. We're booked in VS D737 on the Emerald. From the looks of things we don't have to worry about a beam or vent! Less than 48 hrs. to go and I'll know for sure myself.

Actually we are in D736 oops! We do have a beam but we moved the table and chairs over near it. When we arrived, it was located where we had to walk around the table and chairs to the lounges from the living area door. Now we have more room since the table is next to the beam. Still plenty of room since there are only two of us and the balcony is opened up more. I'll post pictures when I return.

  4. We also stay at the Hyatt downtown, very nice hotel and only paid around $70 for the night. We took a limo from the airport another $70 USD and it included tip. Figured we were arriving very late and not knowing much about Vancouver and taxis we went with the limo. Driver was waiting for us as soon as we cleared immigration and helped us with our luggage to the car. For total of about $140 we had a great hotel and limo. Much less than some cities for the hotel only.

In Anchorage, we stored our luggage at the hospitality center while we went to lunch walked around the outdoor flea market downtown that day then headed to the airport.

Have a wonderful trip, if you have the time spend an extra day in Vancouver. I wish we had, it was a great city.

  5. I tend to lose or stay the same. I have a very sedentary job and being on a cruise my activity is much more than when at home. I ususally eat only during meals and seem to eat better while on a cruise. Not doing the grab and go that I do at home. I don't worry about what I order, I think eating in the restaurants help. If I was eating at the buffet every meal it might be different.

I do a lot of walking both on the ship and while in port. Our upcoming cruise to the Baltics should be very good for getting more exercise. We are in a port almost everyday of the 10 night itinerary. Besides, I don't think I'll be eating alot of the herring!
