We are planning to go to Stone Island or the Malecon while in Mazatlan. Any recommendations on which is better? I assume the Malecon is better for shopping and Stone Island for beaches. We would be walking (with water taxi) to either. Are restaurants/bars similar in both? Anything to see, like historical areas in either place? Any issues with safety?
Thanks.
My wife and I enjoyed Stone Island. Exit the pier drop off and go left on the sidewalk. About a half mile walk along truckers who are waiting in line to drop or pick up their loads at the pier. They were all friendly, hard working men. No problems. At the end of the sidewalk you need to hit the sand path (about 30 yards) and you will find the water taxi dock. Another walk (about 50 yards to the beach where you will find food and fun. Nice place to get away from it all and enjoy yourself.

Last year my wife and I got day passes to the Hilton. Minutes from the Pier $2 each for a taxi van. The cost was $56 or $58 each, so it's not cheap. For that you get a all you can eat lunch, all the drinks you want and use of their resort (pool, beach, towels, chairs ect. To get back to the pier we had Hilton call us a cab. Nice resort, safe and relaxing.

We are sailing on the Ruby Princess April 7th, 2018. I was looking to book a "Exclusive Beach Resort Getaway" while in Puerto Vallarta. The Princess site does not show what resort thay they take you to so I called and was put on hold while the girl called th excursion desk. Well, guess what? They will not tell you where you are going! I was told it was because of the resort security. I say bull. Has anyone had this happen to them? Fork over your money then maybe we will let you know where you are going.

We are cruising to Cabo April 15th. Haven't been there before but would like information on beach bar/restaurants on Medano Beach. So far it looks to me like "Tabasco Beach Restaurant & Bar" is what we are looking for. I would be happy for any input.:)

Glad they are trying to keep the ship clean.

I wash my hands every time I have a beer. About every 20 minutes.

Down 3 beers as fast as you can and everything will be fine. As long as you keep drinking:):)
How long does it really take to tender in Cabo?
in Mexican Riviera

Wait for 2 hours after the first tender. You will be able to walk right onto the boat. We love Princess but Carnival stays in port for more hours. I think 2.
