I also paid 495 for our 1/6/16 RC cruise purchased on my cruise planner about a month ago. It said must book onboard but allowed me to put in cart and pay. Hope that helps.

Sorry ONE more question...are the drinks including alcohol included in cost of cabana ? I'm not clear on that...

Thanks everyone for the helpful hints. I'm not sure I need to see the ship I just didn't want our water view obstructed.

So best I can tell if we have an option we DONT want 1 or 10 is this correct? Looking for good view and easy water access, ladders not an issue for our group.

I just paid $495 for OTW for upcoming jan 2016 cruise. Inflation on that seems a bit insane but this was our splurge based on reviews. Hope it's worth it!

Does anyone know if the Viking Lounge is still a cigar bar for the cold days we won't be outside to have a vacation cigar or two???

I walked to Playa Escambron from the downtown pier and had a great time swimming at this beach. There is a snack bar that served food and drinks but no chair rentals.
I did not snorkel but some locals where snorkeling near the rocks.:)
Thanks sounds like a winner

There is so-so snorkeling at Playa Escambron (out around the fringing reef). Also so-so snorkeling at Playita de Condado (at the east end of Dos Hermanos bridge in Condado).
For "good" snorkeling you need to get off of the big island.
Great thanks. Do u know which is closer to the dock or any other reason to prefer one over the other ?

Can anyone recommend a good beach with decent snorkeling in San Juan ? A good bar on that beach would be a bonus. Thanks in advance...

Thanks I think we are doing the best western on O'Donnell St. The cruise and park is cheaper than just parking and we can see the inner harbor the day before we cruise!

I agree that Roatan is great snorkeling if u book privately or through ship I would do the Jolly Roger catamaran snorkeling it's reasonably priced and their service is impeccable! Ask one of them to stay with ur daughter and they will. We had bad weather in Belize and opted out so can't comment but Cozumel was too murky when we were there. Definitely an organized tour for safety as this is not an area you want to jeapordize safety by going out on ur own. Have fun!

Okay so I found a great TA and emailed him with a deal I put a NC 24 hr hold on direct from RC site and he could not get my fare ( within 30d) so HE advised me to snag the incredible rate I got with law enforcement discount so I did and he said way to go maybe next time basically. So there again "it all depends" check every avenue. I had been watching fares and saw a great one and snatched it unadvertised.

We just got back from the Xmas cruise 2014 on the carnival splendor. Xmas cruising is awesome... My kids and mother loved it every bit as much as I did. The cost was significantly more than the originally booked sunshine for a cheap January week but im glad we did it. I just booked rc for next year for my honeymoon cruise. No more carnival or online cruise agents for me...I believe in keeping your word and neither did with regards to OBCs. The cruise itself and ship was great. One caution... holidays include many more kids and the teens are not supervised and many were very obnoxious on our end of the ship.

I am wondering if anyone can make a recommendation for a reasonably priced hotel in Baltimore that offers parking during our 10 day cruise? Thank you in advance for your time!
-
You are always better to book with a TA as they can give you some perks that the cruise line can't plus they can be your advocate should some issue come up with the cruise line.
Keith
I disagree. If your TA isn't as committed as you are in making the situation right you have lost your voice directly with the cruise line.

Somewhere along the way I read that snorkeling was amazing here yet I am not seeing much offered. Have plenty of time to come up with plans but figured cruise critters would know! Is the snorkeling that great and if so where do we need to go? Thanks for any advice. If not snorkeling open to your opinion of a MUST DO here! Thanks in advance...
