  1. Update:  I managed to find a TA (none in my town)--who would look at this for me.  Once I transferred my account to her, NCL had no problem applying the discount.  Saved $371 CDN!  THANK YOU to this group and responders to my question--would not have thought to try a TA as I usually just book my own travel arrangements.

  2. I did use 2 Certificates and I 'might' understand if that's the reason they gave me Lol.  Just said I can't use it because it's in Canadian dollars.  I'm Canadian and paid in Canadian dollars.  They have no problem converting their US prices on their site to Canadian $$.  AND, only thing on my profile says "My 10% discount".  Going to make some phone calls and see if I can get anywhere with this.  No point in giving it to me if I can never use it.

Lesson learned , should have used a TA.  Unfortunately, my small town lost both TA agencies during Covid

  3. Hi Cruisers.  On my account (along with my Cruisenext certificates) is a MY 10% Discount that NCL put there after they cancelled my 2021 cruise due to Covid.  I'm trying to redeem it for an upcoming cruise but they're telling me I can't because it is in Canadian Dollars??  Makes no sense to me.  There is no $ amount attached to it. (( Some of my Cruisenext certificates are in Canadian Dollars )) Any advice on how to follow up on this?

  4. Hi, on my account I have (along with my Cruisenext certificates) a' MY 10% discount' which was put there in 2021 when NCL canceled my booked cruise due to Covid.  Tried to use it last night and the agent told me I can't because it is in Canadian Dollars??  There is no amount attached to it??  Does this sound right? and what can I do?  I pay for my cruise in Canadian dollars.

  5. Hello cruisers.  On my NCL account , along with my Cruisenext certificates, I have a  'Your 10% discount' that was put there when my booked cruise was canceled by NCL due to Covid.  Tried to use it to book a cruise last night and they are telling me it can't be used because it is in "Canadian dollars"??  It doesn't have any amount attached to it--and my Cruisenext certificates are listed in US dollars which they convert to Canadian??  I have one that is actually listed in Canadian dollars.  Does this sound right??

  6. Good Morning fellow Cruisecritic members. Firstly, I would like to say that I apologize if I upset anyone for posing the question regarding this sailing---I am a 60 year old living alone and was patiently (not) waiting for the results of my Covid19 test and wanting to see if anyone else was experiencing the symptoms I was.  Sorry, not to fearmonger.  I am happy to say that my test results came back negative so-yes- you can have symptoms and it be a different virus/cold/flu.  If nothing else, hopefully this eases someone else's concerns but please, still be vigilant.  We know that not every test comes back negative!  thank you.

  7. I certainly will--should know by early tomorrow.  I have had all the same symptoms you mention but with no fever as well .  I have been in self isolation since I returned home last Sunday.  I will post results as soon as I receive them.  Take care.
