Dinner is normally complimentary. You need to reserve in advance. One our 7 day cruise, (Dec 4-11) only one night had a surcharge. Doors open at 6:00 PM.
At 6:20 PM standbys were allowed in to be seated for the no shows. Show started at 6:30 PM, 3 course meal started as soon as you were seated. Show lasted about 40 minutes.

We did the Dec 4 - 11 cruise. It was closed for the entire cruise as well. Many of the guests were complaining about the Mini Golf being closed. On many of the days, a staff member was posted at the foot of the stairs advising us that it was closed for maintenance. Yet we never saw anyone working in that area. Most of us cruising thought it may just be a staffing issue to supervise the rope course. The slides were open, closed 1 day because of high winds.

Just off the Escape on Saturday. We were tested on Thursday afternoon at 4 PM which was a sea day. Nasal PCR test, advise to wait in our room for 90 minutes after the test. If there was a positive result we would be notified within the 90 minutes.
Negative result letter arrived in our room on FRIDAY morning. We flew back to Toronto on Sunday afternoon.
Present regulations stipulate that your flight into Canada must be within 72 hours of your test.
Just ensure the time of your second flight departing Detroit is within the 72 hours of your test.
Regulations change daily, it’s difficult to predict 2-3 weeks time.

Drumexpert510, Have you taken in any of the shows in the main theatre? If so, your thoughts.

Upsplash, the bar code you are referring to, is this the one beside your check in time on your edocs?
I do see the link to preregistration with CVS, I have clicked on it where my name is visible but being Canadian, it advises we need to register at the pier. We do have bar codes beside our check in time.

As I type this, November 29th Cruise is on the first page and December 13th is located on page #2.
Just open the sailing date that you wish to introduce yourself to, go to the last post and type your comments in the text box below the comments and hit submit reply.

That is correct

The Breakaway is a mega ship, more passengers with lots of on board activities. The Sun is an older ship, less passengers BUT does have larger balcony cabins.
For what you have outlined, the Breakaway would be my choice.

Not many children on board. I would guess no more than 20. At one point I had a group of 6 - 8 pirates (6 - 8 yrs young range) singing as they walked by me on a mission. Probably about the same number of teenagers.

Just back from our 1st transatlantic on the Epic doing this itinerary. Smooth sailing with great weather. Got warmer each day.
Daily Trivia every morning in the Atrium, Followed by Q and A’s on different days by the dancers from Burn the Floor and Priscilla. Art lectures, daily presentations at 2 pm by an Enrichment lecturer. (Various topics)
Q and A’s with the Captain, Head Engineer and Hotel Manager on another day. Cruise next presentations. Various game shows, movies a couple of days in the main theatre. Listen to music midday by the pool most days.
The days flew by, there was always something to do. -
Just be patient and check back periodically as more excursions will be added as you get closer to the cruise date.
-
Just off the Epic on Sunday, (3 days ago) No casino on deck 15.
-
Great job, glad you were checking prices and they honoured the upgrade.

We are on a TA (Epic) in November from Barcelona to SanJuan. Received notice from NCL of a port change at the end of July. We would not be stopping in St. Maarten but would now be stopping at Tortola. No reason given as to why.

NO tickets are issued for the ferry, just show up and board. The ferry holds about 300 passengers. We used it mid June.

Hi Michelle028,
My wife and I live in the Pickering area and just returned from our cruise. We drove to Boston the day prior as well. We stayed at the Westborough Inn. Another poster had mentioned the place in there review. The hotel is a little dated in furniture, but the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. You have full use of the kitchen and entertainment area on the lower level. Cost is around $125 Cdn per night and includes breakfast. After checking in, we found a couple of malls in the area and did some shopping as well.
The next morning we left about 10 AM and headed to the port area to park. It took us about 40 minutes and was a very easy drive.
Took us about 8.5 hours to drive directly from our house to the hotel. We were happy with the hotel and would gladly stay there upon our next cruise from Boston.
FYI... You will pay a cash toll using the turnpike in New York State. Massachusetts now uses photo tolls and will mail you the invoice. We are presently waiting for our invoice.

We cruised with NCL on the June 8 - 15 cruise. We arrived at the parking lot at 501 Congress St. Lot 1A at 11 AM. The parking lot attendant who was waiting in a car as we pulled into the parking lot entrance directed us to park on the 3rd floor. Once parked, we walked about 50 yards to the awaiting shuttle. There were 4 shuttles waiting to take passengers to the port which is only a 5 minute drive. Once our shuttle was full we left. We were dropped off at the terminal and advised we would be picked up at the same spot upon our return.
After disembarking the ship, we returned to the designated spot. We waited for about 10 minutes and two shuttles arrived to pick up passengers. We passed a 3rd shuttle who was making the loop as we headed to the parking lot. There was an employee waiting to open the gate after seeing the appropriate paperwork on the dashboard of our car. I am sure the prepaid ticket we had received upon our arrival would have opened the gate if the employee was not present at the time.
I was quite impressed with the process and will certainly not hesitate using the parking lot again. Both shuttles were clean and in new condition.

No issues checking in with RCCL.
The certificates were checked to ensure they were in our name, the test was taken within 48 hours, negative results.
We used the BTNX kits issued in Ontario.
