  1. This looks like all the dining options for the day. I was just looking for lunch choices that have no charge
  2. Will be on the Mardi Gras in a few weeks and always eat lunch at the buffet but it's a mad house every time no matter how many cruises or lines we have been on especially with so many passengers. Trying to find a table is an adventure. While we love the many choices in the buffet would be happy to to have less selection in another restaurant that's not so crazy crowded.
  3. Looked at my boarding pass and it says priority. I thought we were gold but must have moved to platinum. Trying to decide if to park at the port or one of the offsite places. .Parked at the port in November and while very convenient not cheap.
  4. Who is considered to be priority and how do you find out if you are.
  5. Not sure I understand the comment. Do you mean the person that dropped the passengers off. Did they not park right there across from the ship, which is only a few minutes walk back to the ship.
  6. I was looking into go port and looks really good but how long is the wait for transport to the ship but more important its always crazy when getting off ship and waiting for transport back to their facility to pick up your car. Might be tons of people waiting for same vehicle. Last Nov. sailed on MSC and parked at terminal . Very convenient but way more expensive.
  7. park port canaveral website says you can cancel up to 24 hours before reservation foer a refund but I read a review where person said they could not get refund because they booked with a discount. Just wondering in anyone found this to be accurate.
  8. I was going to use park port canaveral with the 50% discount until I did a search of reviews. To many 1 star reviews complaining of long waits for the shuttles. Will most likely spend the money to park at the port and avoid any problems.
  9. Is the bottle per cabin or per person?
  10. Greatly appreciate your comments as to your experience. GoPort website indicated they are only dropping off to the Mardi Gras and the video paints a very nice picture. Shows they use modern looking buses to transport the passengers. Hope this is accurate.
  11. Parked at a hotel in Titusville last November for an MSC cruise and then parked at the port even thought it was much more expensive for the convenience. Thinking about using GoPort for a June Mardi Gras cruise since their prices and video look very good. But still trying to find reviews of GoPort to make sure everything is as good as it seems since I had not previously heard of them.
  12. Has anyone used this offsite parking place and greatly appreciate for any comments as how you would rate it?.
  13. I never take the cruise line insurance and usually check prices at Insuremytrip or Squaremouth as you can get much better coverage at good prices. However I just checked Tripinsurancestore and think I will get insurance from them for for the first time for our upcoming cruise.
  14. We are supposed to be getting a total of $400.00 OBC. $100.00 from Carnival and $300.00 from TA. I went into our account and under cruise add-ons I see OBC General Booking amount issued $100.00 but don't see any other OBC. I did read in a review of this TA that the person said you will not see the TA OBC in your account until you are on the ship and not sure if this is standard procedure. Being on the ship is not the time to possibly find out the OBC is not in the account. We have not been on Carnival in 6-7 years so not sure how TA OBC is currently handled. Would greatly appreciate hearing from anyone as to what your experience has been when getting OBC from your TA and when you saw it was applied to your account, prior to sailing or not until you were on the ship..
  15. Just wondering if anyone on the 11/26 sailing suffered from any gastro issues? I started on the 28th and my wife on the 30th. We had lunches in the buffet and I'm not sure that some of the food was kept at the correct temperatures, especially the salads. It has been a week for me and I am not 100% back to normal. My wife went to medical on the day before we got back and the doctor had special food sent to her in the cabin for lunch, dinner and breakfast the next morning. I kept waiting for a statement from them to submit to travel insurance co. and went back down to medical and it turns out that there is no charge for the visit since it was a gastro issue. I know we can't be the only people who had this problem.
  16. Will be on the Seashore soon and selected early dining. Hope it's not very early as we usually eat 7:00-7:30. If we get a time of either 6:30 or 7:30 that would be great. Otherwise will try and get it changed and also will try for a table for two. Don't know if the card showing dining time also indicates table size so will probably have to go to dining room to check it out.
  17. Will be on the Seashore later this month and will be parking at the port which we usually don't do. Can't imagine leaving the car in one parking garage and ship coming back to a different berth which I know is always a possibility. Don't remember how large the port is and how much of an issue not docking where your car is parked.
  18. When we first started cruising maybe 45 years ago it was tuxes and gowns at dinner. 6-7 years ago on NCL I wore shorts every night in one of the dining rooms that allowed shorts.. Last 4-5 cruises on Celebrity I wore jeans every night. I know the printed dress code and what is allowed don't always agree and can vary from ship to ship. We will be on the Seashore in fantastica.
  19. I got an email from MSC with the cruise ticket, health questionnaire, purchased services, luggage tags and what is shown as embarkation forms. Don't know why at web check-in it is marked to download embarkation forms which kept giving me an error, if the forms come as part of the paperwork I received as shown above. I also got the 20 days out message when about 30 days out but last night I was still 25 days out and was able to check in.
  20. Did the web check-in last night and all went well until I went to download the embarkation form. Kept getting there was an error processing your request. Please, try again later. The only thing we did not do was to attach a photo. When we sailed on Celebrity they always took our photos when we got to the terminal. Just wondering if anyone else has run into problems when trying to download the embarkation form.
  21. No, it was just so long ago but a time not forgotten.
  22. 66-67 trained at Ft. Meade and we all went over by boat.
  23. I also remember seeing a ship with a large X many years ago and wondering what line it was. And BTW seeing your logo of the Blackhorse Regiment brings back many memories of a time long ago.
  24. Will be cruising late this November and all the better hotels with park and cruise deals seem to be pushing $400.00 or more after adding in taxes. Just wondering if anyone is aware of any hotels a little less expensive. Was also considering maybe staying around Daytona Beach the night before cruise and then parking at the port for convenience.
  25. I just went on to MSC website and put in my booking number and only minimal information is shown about the cruise. I don't want to be surprised that somehow these items disappeared between my booking directly with MSC and transferring to a travel agent I have often used in the past. Cruise does not leave until this November and was booked with the Fantastica experience.
