  1. This is off the thread but noticed that you were on the Meridian in 1997. Were you on the String Band cruise that left on Memorial Day and hit a storm the next day?

    Hi Dublin,

No we went on the Meridian in July of 97. But we also hit a storm the last night out. It was my 1st cruise and scared the he** out of me , when we came on deck and one of the crew was out there smoking with his life jacket on  Pat

  2. Anything by Linda Howard. I discoverd her last summer with a witty suspensful and romantic novel called " Mr. Perfect" and I haven't stopped reading her since. Every book is great. I plan to take two of her novels with me on my next cruise. 3_3_6.gif

Hi Tillie, I read Mr Perfect too and you are right, absolutely a great cruise read. I'll have to check out her other stuff, That was the only book of hers I read.

  3. Patpcozy - Can you give me some of the titles of her books? Also if you haven't got it yet, you must reat "Bet Me". Other people have told me it's the best Jennifer Crusie has written, for what it's worth. 12_1_120.gif[/Q

Hi Joelmarg was right all of her title in the stephanie plum series have numbers in the title. She has just come out with The 10th (not sure of title) she has another series Full tilt, Fullspeed, full house but I heard they aren't as good. But the stepanie series even my slow reading friends LOVE them and laugh all the way thru.

Cruisinchick The libraries on board have never charged anything that I know of and since I will read almost anything I have never had a problem. I always bring 1 book just in case but 1 is never enough. I try to remember to leave the ones I've read since I think this is where they get their library.

  4. Hi Guys My Dh always teases and calls me the " tour director" and is now, since I've found these boards, asking " what are you reading all night" But for me the planning is so much fun. we always travel in a group and somehow i'm always elected a tour guide. This is our 5th cruise and I never knew there was so much info to be found here. I am having a ball and even managed to thrill my DH when I found the posting for the two fers on the beer helmets.:D You never know what you're going to find here, isn't it great!!!!!
