My OBC is still not on my account. It's been 7 business days since I sent the email to hellostockperks. The email said it would be 5 business days. I'm not worried because there is still time until my cruise but I'm wondering if they are getting slammed or my request fell through the crack.

Or depending where they are located they got slammed with snow.  Give it a few more days.

Yes.  But if you have read my posts in this thread before, I MISSED this method.  Submitted thru the App an hour before reading the email method.

That reinforces the notion that the App is no more than just a Sham.  Everything is still done manually just like in the past.  Princess always reinvents something stupid to break what worked well in the past.  Just look at the Medallion (the button itself) and the App.  After years struggling with the Medallion App, they now replaced it with just Princess, even ditching the silly name that keeps confusing people - the App and the button, both have totally different functions.

After having 250 days on Princess, I honestly wish Royal has their new ships to Europe but alas, except Odyssey, all other ships are junks.  We normally just use the cruise as a very comfortable yet very reasonably priced way to go between both Continents.  None of the ports on TATL matters as we have been at them many many times.  The ships are what matter to us.  Royal has better ships, better App, far superior internet onboard.  Except! They dont do TATL.

At least Princess still allows stockholder credit.  More than I can say about Royal.  Diamond Plus on Royal and Elite on Princess.  Royal just keeps taking more and more perks away.  But with that said…..Princess needs to leave well enough alone.  If it ain’t broke don’t fix it…..imo

Do you mind to elaborate in more details on exactly how you received the 4 emails, and what did they ask for?

Were those emails from after you did it thru the App or after you also sent request to hello@stockperks.com?

Did you sent email request AFTER submitting request thru the App?

What did they want from you, despite (I assume) you gave them the stock ownership proof?

So far I only received 2 emails -

1st one acknowledged receiving manual submission of stock ownership proof thru the App using Alinea, informing it would take 2 business days to get a eligibility decision.

2nd one came exactly after 2 business days, informing the request was eligible and has been submitted to Princess.  It would take 5 business days to reach 1) OBC posted,  2) Need to ask you more information.

I assume you fell into the 2) before they posted the OBC ?

Thanks a lot for your patience and further information.

Why not use the email which is so, so simple

Once have gotten your perk eligibility email indicating that your proof of ownership was accepted. The next email you will receive. You then must go back into the app. Click redeem perk and enter the specific cruise information.

When doing through email, I also received an acknowledgement immediately then within hours received that it was approved.  Went to Princess and it was there.....easy peasy

I wish I have read your post a bit earlier.  I downloaded the app to iPad, and chose Alinea.  It went to single file submission mode and I uploaded the PDF file.

There is NO screen to input the sailing information though I put it on the PDF just like what I used to do when using the fax or email method directly to Princess.

Now I realize that the sailing input screen would not show up until your submission is approved.

Did get an acknowledgement on receipt of submission pending review.

Wish I have read the thread this morning before going thru the App.  It seems the email method works a lot faster and a lot less hassle!

Several of us had posted about using hello@stockperks.  Had my confirmation in less than 24 hrs and checked my account on Princess.com and sure enough it was there.

Wow. I've never had to wait that long for a drink! Though, we hang at Wheelhouse each evening, and they just magically get refilled. I haven't been on the Regal since 2019, but I've done 17 between  on Ruby and Emerald since the restart, and I have only seen a couple of times where there was any wait for drinks. Often they bring in back-up at super busy times. We saw 5 bartenders in the Mix bar on deck 15 once! And at Wheelhouse (it's near the theater on those ships), they always make sure there is at least one other bartender during pre & post shows. That's too bad that Regal didn't bring in back-up for times it was needed.

Maybe that was our problem....we were in Crooners.  They usually had maybe 4 servers that also had to handle the sushi area and one server always left for his/her dinner break around 5:30ish.  Right in the height of people trying to get a drink before dinner.  The only time we had no problem was sitting at the bar outside of Crown Grill waiting for our table to be ready.  We will be back on the Regal in Sept.  Will try the wheelhouse.

We love having drinks on our balcony or cocktails before dinner.  Nice to not have to order a drink or go to a bar all the time.

    So, we appreciate the convenience.

Especially now that the cruise-lines are all cutting back on bar services since they have instituted the beverage packages.  On the Regal in Oct.  it could take 20 minutes just to get a drink.  They work the servers to death not to mention the bartenders.

Thanks for all of the GOOD information on this post.

I decided NOT to load the APP and instead submitted the same paperwork that I would have sent Princess via email to:           hello@stockperks.com     on 12/19/2023  @  10 am

Received notice that the OBC was posted to our cruise on  12/19/2023  @  10:50 pm

less than  13 hours from request to posting        best time ever

Once again, thanks for the info, it was much better than using Princess.

I'm going to try that too.

There is a budget level.  So, if there was top-shelf in a mini-bottle, you wouldn't get it.  But they probably don't even have it.

I can equate with beer.  I swap all 10 alcohol for preferred beer label(s).  I have been able to get some beer that is more cost on the menus than the base included beer.  I have been told on a previous ship that I needed to pick from certain labels and not just anything on the menu.  Ask nicely and see what happens.  They will be able to inform you of available and eligible choices.   I swap all our non-alcohol for Perrier - generally.

I’m happy with the Absolute….but not that New Amsterdam….lol

Gotcha, but it could still vary depending on supplies.  I always call RS with a custom order.

Can you request a specific item or only what is included.  I always swap out the others for vodka.  But I just saw pictures of New Amsterdam Vodka.  IMO it's like the worse vodka.

Correct me if I’m wrong .. or even if you just disagree with my thoughts on the OceanNow feature on the app.
I believe Princess, upon the restart in July 2021, started with the expanded room service menu and delivery to wherever you might be on the ship to keep people from forming crowds and keeping the dining rooms emptier to reduce close contact with others.  We will just bring whatever you want, even from the beverage package, directly to your room, or to the pool or to wherever you might be.

Well, fast forward to 2023 and now they’ve kept this in place but the ships are sailing at full capacity.  Do they cut down the number of these orders or do they hire more staff.  The former won out there.  The only way to cut back on the number of room service orders, now that we’re all spoiled, is to charge for it.

Maybe it will work, maybe it won’t but they won’t be going backwards on the charges.  It sees, like all the lines are beginning to charge for delivery service, except for the continental breakfasts.
I see Celebrity implemented this earlier in the year and are charging more than twice of what Princess charges.  And, you can’t get your meal delivered to wherever you may be at the time .. it’s your room or not at all.
I’m sure it’s cut back on hiring more staff for that line.
Anyway, it’s still a bargain on Princess as far as I’m concerned.

And when RCL did it years ago we didn't get a notification before our cruise.  Nor did we expect one.  Were we shocked when we got on the cruise?  To say the least....did it ruin our cruise?  Got 3 more booked.  Anyday on a cruise is better than staying at home.....IMO

Carnival still allows it, but according to your signature you've never cruised on her so you wouldn't know.

Princess is the last one that allows stockholders to still claim the OBC even though they got a special deal or have other OBC.  Royal & Celebrity did away with that years ago.

You forgot to post the rest of my post.  I was only referring to the ones I mentioned.

But you are correct.  I have never been on Carnival.

Yes that are and in household that’s just where we are going….another line

I think you are in for a rude awakening.  Princess is still by far the cheapest with much better itineraries IMO.  NCL is $20 pp per day for tips in a balcony cabin.  Royal did away with free room service (except continental breakfast) ages ago.  I could go on and on....but have a great cruise on whatever line you choose.  Bon Voyage
