We were on the second medallion cruise last November on the Regal and will be on the Regal again next month for our Trans Atlantic it will be interesting to see if it has changed much. We never could use our medallions to get in our room, and didn't use them for much else. I like tech but could live without it.

When we were on the Regal (2 weeks ago) our key/card got demagnetized and I stopped by Guest Services to get a replacement. They gave me another card that was slightly different (although it looked nearly the same) and told me that this was the new type card and would not get demagnetized. They also mentioned that one is not supposed to punch a hole in the card (like for a lanyard). My impression was that this was the card they would use for those that did not want a *****.

Yes, those are the new cards with the rfid chip in them, I collect refrigerator magnets and have demagnetized my card a couple of times, so I don't think that will be an issue anymore

Wasn't room service available 24 hours a day? Now it says 20 hours or am I reading it incorrectly?

 

I loved the Ernesto burger at Salty dog, nice to see it on the room service menu.

I thiught it was 24 hrs too and mentioned that to my wife, she thought maybe it was because of breakfast time, I'll ask around and see what I can find out.

Oh my lord! I am coming from another cruise line that does not have anything near what those room service menus have. Could make someone just stay in their cabin and eat all cruise! Just joking. [emoji14]

I haven’t had a chance to read through this whole thread but does anyone have actual dimensions of the medallion, like how many inches across and how thick it is?

Have you considered renting a car? You can pick up the car at Canada Place and drop it at Seatac. The last time we did this it was about $50.

Thanks everyone, I did see that one of the buses didn't accept luggage and we are doing Amtrak from Vancouver to Seattle to board the second cruise out of Seattle but the train schedule doesn't fit up with our flight options.

My apologies if this has been asked before but does Princess offer a post cruise shuttle from Vancouver cruise port to Seattle airport?

We will be flying the day after the cruise so no rush to get to the airport to catch a flight but we will probably stay at a hotel by the airport. Our options flying out of Vancouver are to limited and more expensive.

Just wondering if the Emerald and Ruby have tables for two in the fixed dining rooms, I know that Regal and Royal do. We've always chosen anytime dining and may change our preference after trying the fixed late seating on the Royal. We did enjoy talking to the people on either side of us but just prefer not to sit at a big table. Thanks!

Thanks for the pics! We leave on the Royal Friday and can't wait to check it out and compare it to the Regal, glad to see the center staircase too!

I've been on 13 of the current fleet, not including the Majestic, most of them several times each. I have been on all three Royal Princesses, the original Regal Princess, and the original Ocean Princess.

9 out of 17. Was 10 out of 18 until the Ocean Princess left the fleet. Working on making it 10 out of 18 again (Majestic will be sailing by the time we get on the Pacific Princess).

Wow that's great! We've been on 6 different ships so far, on the Regal 3 different times, we just keep finding our way back on it.

We prefer the sideways cabins, and try to get them if possible. We had one on a cabin crawl once and everyone had commented on the extra space.
