  1. I am trying to figure out if there will be any catamaran tours from Harvest Caye?

I saw one article that said there will be a marina on the island that will do these tours, but no one with NCL seems to be able to confirm it.

If not, anyone have any recommendations on a private tour company that might offer catamaran tours in that area?

  2. Hoping someone can help me with this. Heading to Cozumel in Feb and trying to decide between Mr Sanchos vc Nachi.

Was going to go with Mr Sanchos because I saw online they offer horse back riding and we want to do that... but then someone posted here that they are right next to each other.

So my question is how far apart are they if I walk down the beach? Could I book at Nachi (to get some peace and quiet), but then walk down to Sanchos and do the horse riding tour?

  3. YES, you will each receive a voucher for either Le Bistro or La Cucina. Yes, each time you use a voucher you will be able to get a (select menu) bottle of wine. And, yes, there should be a bottle of bubbly in your stateroom, as well.

While we are at it... don't forget you may EACH fill a laundry bag (FREE), which you will need to lable "Platinum."

Wow awesome! Im excited now lol

    thanks

  4. How did you get "two vouchers each"? The reward is 1 certificate for a 'dinner for two' per Platinum guest. So my DH gets a certificate, and I get a certificate. We go out for dinner twice using the vouchers, two dinners for two. What you describe would be 4 dinners for two.:p

The certificates are only good at Le Bistro and La Cucina these days. And it is one bottle of wine "per certificate", not "per meal" as was stated a few posts back. They do not mind at all if you take the bottle with you, either full or partially full. They will even hold it for you and deliver it to your table on another night.

Hi Everyone, My husband and I are leaving in 4 days for an Alaska Cruise and this will be our first cruise as Platinum members.

Just want to confirm... from this you are saying that both myself and my husband would each get a voucher for meal (totalling 2 vouchers)? I thought you only got 1 voucher per stateroom for a total of 1 meal, but if we each get one and therefore could have 2 meals that would be awesome!

If we both get a voucher, does that also mean you get 1 bottle of wine per voucher? (for a total of 3?; sparkling in the room, 1 wine at first voucher, and another wine with second voucher?)

Just trying to confirm because I only made 1 reservation but if we get 2 I will make another ;)

    thanks for the help!

  5. I may be asking this question in the wrong forum, and if so, forgive me.

I do not smoke but my father does and I am bringing him on a cruise on the Getaway in Feb 2017.

2 things I am trying to get clarified,

    1. Can people smoke in Vibe beach Club?

    2. Can people smoke if they are at the bar in the casino, or do they literally have to be playing? I know the policy states they must be playing.

Anyways again sorry if this is the wrong post... if so maybe someone could point me in the right direction?

    thanks !

  6. They seriously would not have enough "man power" to enforce this. For instance if you are out at the pool bar and order a drink. Are they going to follow each person with a drink in their hand to see if they sat out there? Are they going to follow you back to your chair by the pool? I doubt it. How will they know where you went? If I brought soda on board with me and I get the soda package (as I always do) and get a soda from someplace to drink, how do they know if I actually got it from my package or from my room? I ALWAYS take the glass back with me, use the ice in my room, and pour myself a drink from "my stash". There's no way to police this. They are crazy!

Exactly, agreed. That is what i am saying. There is no way for them to know where i got it one way or another. This IS crazy.

I wonder if more people tried calling if they would get the same answer?

  7. I took it upon myself to call NCL directly just now.

I got a very rude phone agent mind you, but this is what she said:

You will not be able to take ANY food out of public ares (restaurant or buffet). There will be NO exceptions for people who are sick and/or people with small children who prefer to eat in rooms for convenience. She even suggested that this shouldnt be a problem unless your kids are not well behaved in which case they shouldnt be going on the cruise anyways and then preceded to say "What, you dont take your kids to restaurants back home?". I dont even have kids, I was just asking. Then she said, "If a person is sick they shouldnt be eating because that would just make them more nauseated". Seriously, NCL? I hope this is not what youre getting phone agents to tell people?

AND IT DOES APPLY TO DRINKS ALSO! She said ANY drinks from the bar cannot be taken back to enjoy on your balcony!!

I told her that made no sense because what about those who order bottles of wine and they get delivered to the room itself. She said bottles of wine would be an exception but drinks ordered one at a time from the bar must stay in public areas!

This is ridiculous. If im walking around with a glass of wine how are they going to know if i poured it in my room or got it from the bar? No way to enforce that.

I am an avid NCLer and will be a Platinum member after our next cruise. I have gone out of my way to defend them in the past but this is just getting insane.

I pay extra to have a balcony and now youre telling me i cannot BUY a Martini from the bar and bring it back to my room?! Why am I paying extra for a balcony?

    Not happy.
