  1. Looking for a New Zealand cruise.  We've sailed on Celebrity several times, but their itinerary for New Zealand has lots of sea days and only 5 actual port days which is disappointing.  Azamara has a longer itinerary with several more stops, but we've never traveled with them, and would appreciate some feedback on how they compare to Celebrity.  We've done Aqua class on Celebrity and appreciated the small dining room.  Azamara has only one dining room (2 speciality restaurants) with open seating.  Wondering how the food is?  It's obviously a much smaller ship,  how about evening entertainment, we love having multiple music and show venues on Celebrity.   We would really appreciate some input!

    Thanks so much

  2. Thanks, I had tried Mario several months ago, but he was booked already. Tierra del Fuego sounds like everyone's favorite, and it looks like a great place to take a hike, the only problem is finding someone to take us there and book. Perhaps when we arrive in port we can find an english speaking taxi driver willing to do a fixed price tour?

  3. Need suggestions for our day in Ushuaia. I know we can book a boat trip on the canal, but three hours just sitting on a boat is not quite our cup of tea. Looking to do something more active? I would really appreciate suggestions on how to spend our day. We also don't want to join a large tour group (we're a party of four) driving around all day. Suggestions?

  4. Hi Annie

Sorry to bother you once again, but I'm a little confused with the online ticket purchase. We're a party of six, so I've followed your instructions for purchasing the Lander ticket for five of us, but I also need to purchase a ticket for the sixth person in our party. When I put in one person (rather than five) it comes up with a price of 10 euros, which I know is incorrect, you said it should be 20. What am I doing wrong with this last ticket?

Thanks so much for your help.

  5. Thanks so much for laying out what sounds like a great day. I've just a few more questions if you don't mind.

First, we're docking in Rostock - Berth LP41, so what would be the best way to get to the start of the walking tour?

Also, is there any way we could do both Wismar and Schwerin, or would that take more time than we have available? Maybe a quick walk through the castle and gardens and then on to Wismar?

Finally, I've read your previous posts about buying the rail pass online ahead of time to cover five of us, can we also buy the single ticket the same way or do we need to do that day of at the station?

Thanks so much for all your help, and sorry if I'm asking questions you've previously answered. You've been great.

  6. Anni

I have read all your tremendously helpful posts, and all the alternatives sound great. However, we have our one day in May, off the Constellation (and I thank you for informing us that we will dock in Rostock, rather than Waremunde), and need to decide how best to spend it. We are six, very active adults, and we love to walk. Should we do Rostock and Schwerin? Or Rostock and Wismar? Or one of the other cities you've mentioned in your posts? We prefer to spend our time walking around towns, marketplaces, gardens, we're not that interested in spending our time indoors at churches or museums. Can you give me some advice? Thank you so much for all your advice.
