This certainly can happen from time to time. Also, when you book you through the cruise line, you'll be picked up at the ship and returned you to the ship. :)

For future cruisers viewing this post... I emailed the tour company (Tropical Adventures) and they requested I book through the cruise line for a discounted rate. I saved $85 booking through RCCL! As someone who assumes cruise lines overcharge, I was pleasantly surprised.

Hi - glad to see detailed reviews on this excursion... We'll be traveling with my 1 yr old daughter. Her favorite activity is to people watch from our laps, so it seems like this could be fun for the three of us. Clearly we'll watch our rum punch intake and won't be snorkeling, but curious if there is a shaded spot where we can sit on the catamaran and anything else we should consider as reasons to or not to book. Thanks in advance!

Thanks Reedprincess! I was worried my plan South was too ambitious and, you're right 3+hrs in a car with an infant does not sound like vacation! Love the tips on PI and restaurant advice! Any thoughts on Coal Pot? Reviews are amazing or poor... Thank you!

Cruising in Jan w/ our 9 mo old. Booked driver for 4 hrs to visit Morne Fortune & Marigot Bay photo ops; lunch @ Dasheene; Anse Chastenet beach. After reading forums think we should stay north (1hr+ hairpin curves). Considering Morne Fortune; lunch @ Coal Pot; Reduit Beach. Opinions? Anything missing North? Should we stick with the initial Southern plan? Not interested in an official tour w/ the little one. Thanks!

Depending on the wedding date this may help: we were moving shortly after our wedding and concerned about the time it took to get the certificate. While typically (in Michigan) the officiant would have mailed it to the county clerk, I explained the situation when I applied for the license and they made an exception for me to bring the it back to the application office myself. They processed it immediately for me.
