  1. We are going on part of the same cruise as you but will be boarding in Barbados 9Sept due to flight problems from UK to San Juan. Will be adding our thoughts about this cruise etc but this will probably be our last cruise with Carnival too much hassle with their UK site. Had enjoyed our previous cruises around the Caribbean with Carnival.

  2. Has anyone else from the UK had problems with Carnival's UK site? Our party sails in in 2 weeks and cannot get any help from their helpline due to the wrong number posted on the website. The U.S. Site is no help as phone number does not work in the UK. Have emailed them weeks ago but got no response. Trying to get flowers etc for a very special occasion while on board and getting nowhere or is it the case that they don't do special occasions anymore. More cost cutting?

  3. After having booked for Sept 2015 Southern Caribbean Cruise boarding at Barbados due to no flights from London to San Juan we asked if we could upgrade and pay extra for a larger cabin. The Carnival customer rep said no problem as all the cabins in the grade we wanted were free, great we thought BUT when our local holiday rep rang in less than 30 mins to confirm booking she was told sorry we cannot sell them to overseas passengers who don't board at the start of the cruise. The fact we were willing to pay the extra cost, made no difference. It seems Carnival promises are not worth a bean and that includes their reps who don't know how to sell their cruises. The Carnival rep admitted he got it wrong, saying sorry does not help as it has now made us wish we had not booked with them at all. This was to be a double celebration cruise. We have travelled with them on previous cruises with no problems.

  4. Having just returned from our 3rd cruise in 4 yrs with Carnival don't cruisers dress up anymore on the formal nights. We travel long haul to go on the cruise and weight ( luggage) is now very restricted. Our last cruise around the Caribbean we felt very out of place on formal nights we bothered hardly anyone else did. Main dining room looked more like a beach day than a formal evening , many in shorts and flip flops. We are looking at another cruise next year and wonder if other cruisers have seen the same. Is it worth packing smart clothes anymore? Did go to their steakhouse but dress wear was just as in formal.
