  2. Just another voice expressing disappointment if lunch is discontinued in Le Grand Bistro! I loved it there! A quiet embarkation lunch is tradition for us. I loved the Le Grand Bistro because it was a great option for people who do not eat seafood. It seems, in my opinion, that the restaurants collectively are either totally seafood or a large portion of what is offered. I loved Tuscan on the Reflection. Celebrity, if you are listening, please consider balancing the options for people who do not eat seafood.  We are booked on Apex 2021, we will see how it goes. booked in an SV, usually do Sky Suites or AQ. hopefully there will be normal veranda furniture by then . Did sail on Edge, and did not like IV and furniture at all!!

The only dedicated veg menu I've seen so far is the veg menu for Eden (in the X iPhone app), which I promptly booked. In the past, the MDR has had a vegetarian menu, with all the other restaurants having at least one vegetarian app and entree.

    Thank you!

  4. Could anyone cruising the next few sailings post the vegetarian menus? Are they different in Aqua Class (Blu), and the specialty restaurants? Would love to hear anyone's feedback of the vegetarian offerings. We are sailing January 6th.

    Thank you, Carol.

We are going there tonight. Wish me luck! Thee are some weird characters hanging out there at night...😉

Vt, would you mind posting the Eden dinner menu? I mainly  was wondering if it was predominantly seafood. I thought I read here that  it was and a no go for the poster as she doesn't eat seafood. I don't eat seafood either, so it would be a no go for me, too. I was really looking forward to experiencing Eden.

Thanks! You know, when I booked my cruise over a year ago, there werent many A2 available and only A1 that were just after cabins that protrude out. However, 10219 to 10227 were available and ai remember having a hard time deciding btw 10225 and 10227 but for some reason I went for 10223. I think I was too excited about booking at a great price that I didn't noticed that my cabin was not 10225! Crazy.

Does anyone know if 10221 has the bed by the IV or the bathroom? I thought it was by the bathroom, but now I'm not sure...

I noticed that there are still no curtains in these staterooms.  How is light blocking and privacy  achieved?

Also, Aqua Class staterooms have had, in the past, foot stools for the veranda's.  I take it from the photo that there is not enough room.  And that the chairs do not recline.  Unfortunately for me, the position of the stationary chairs will be hard on my back unless there is a foot stool.  I'll be using a couple of those decorative pillows behind my back for support.

I also noticed there are no reclining loungers and foot stools on the infinite verandas in the aqua class cabins. The straight backed chairs do not look very comfortable. On previous cruises, enjoyed sitting on the balcony reclining with my feet up. Sometimes napping!!! Could one of the first cruisers report back if these are indeed the infinite veranda chairs? Also the side table in between the chairs looks very small and low, making it difficult to enjoy breakfast on the balcony. Thoughts?

  8. Looking for ideas about Rhodes. Was thinking I would be ready for a relaxing day and was thinking about going to a beach and then walking around old town for a while on the way back. Unless there is something not to be missed!

Has anyone done the Celebrity shore excursion in Rhodes called the" Faliraki Hotel beach day"? You get beach access, sun lounger, pool access, and restroom, showers, and changing area. Still need to figure out what to do in this port!

  9. What does this Ultimate BBQ include? Seems a lot more expensive than the normal specialty dining? We are sailing 19th Sept.

I read a review for it a while back. It began with a cocktail reception on the lawn with live music. The BBQ is at the Lawn Club Grille and was hosted by the head chef (at the time it was Tato Garcia, but I am not sure if he is still on the Reflection). It was also hosted by senior officers. The menu was a little different from the regular Lawn Club menu, it seemed nicer than the regular (wonderful) Lawn Club menu. I read that it included grilled lobster tails. It was more expensive than the regular Lawn Club dinner, but with all that the evening includes, for me it is very worth the price.

  10. The mini bar is above the premium drinks package, you pay for what you drink from it, but remember you can bring onboard 2 x bottles of wine for each state room

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

If you buy wine in port, such as on our first stop in Sicily, can you bring it to your cabin, or do they hold it until the last night of your cruise?

  11. Can you post your Celebrity Today dailies? We sail on Sept. 9th.

Wondering if the Lawn Club Grill Has the special "Ultimate BBQ"? I think it is only offered once per cruise, and costs around 85.00 pp. ????

Did Murano offer "Champagne High Tea" on one sea day of your cruise?

    Thanks, Carol.:)

  12. Evening all,

Thought I would share some live reports from the Reflection.

We're aboard with Captain Skylogiannis and Sue Denning as Director. Looking forward to seeing what they have in store for us this week!

Embarkation was a very quiet affair, we arrived from Rome at around 11.30 (and hour and 10 drive after a stop at the Azamara Journey to drop off some companions). Suprised how many people were not there- thought we may be cruising with a very small number for five minutes! On Aquaclass so we were straight through but the girl couldn't find our key cards- so took a bit longer.

Jumped on the ship and she's looking well. All areas were absolutely spotless- 10/10. Went up to the solarium for some quiet time- lots of children on this sailing it seems running around everywhere. Maybe just the first day of the holiday bug.

The Spa cafe was quiet too but we stupidly went to the zoo for lunch at around 2.30 after soaking in the hot tub! It seems the entire contingent of our cruise had joined us there... Lesson learned for future!

Our AQ cabin, 1605, has an extra deep balcony so it's good. The toiletries smell a bit odd this time- very cucumber- so getting a wash is a bit like making a salad. No sparkling wine in stateroom either- have X stopped this?

One thing bothering us is the persistence of pushing beverage packages and the specialities on board. I've never been on a cruise where they've been pushed so hard even though I usually class the first day as the hard sell day. We have a classic package (don't drink much!) but I usually always have the highest package maybe this is why I haven't noticed this, but we haven't yet given our card to someone without them telling us to upgrade and really going for it. Even a waiter from Blu was pushing the specialities on us when we have booked for Blu, and I said I think the menu with the fillet mignon is just fantastic for me tonight, and he turned his nose up and curled his lip? I'm so suprised by this and more than a little uncomfortable at how hard they are going at it.

To be honest I'm not sure if it's because we are a young couple but it seems that everyone we try and politely decline is very angry at us for not upgrading or buying speciality! (We paid an arm and a leg already, thanks X!)

Enjoy your cruise!!! We sail on the Reflection 10 night out of Rome in 2 weeks from today (September 9th)!!! We are in an aft Sky Suite this time, but on our last cruise, January 2014, we were in 1605. Loved, loved, loved that cabin! We were jealous of the Royal Suite to the left, too. The Persian Garden warm tile loungers were wonderful. Should be heaven after a long day touring the Med. Please keep your live reports coming!

Can you check 2 things for me? (1) Do they have the special dinner in the lawn club, I believe it is hosted by the head chef, it used to be Chef Tato Garcia. I just read about this in a member's

cruise review, so I don't know if I have all the facts correct. It comes with a cocktail reception on the lawn with live music. I believe it was 85.00 pp, 2 years ago. I think it was called "The Grass is Greener Ultimate BBQ".

    (2) Is there a champagne high tea in Murano?

Enjoy every moment of your cruise!

    Carol and Jim

  13. I have started gathering stuff and putting outfits together and we don't sail until 9/9! Arriving 2 nights prior, and staying 1 night after cruise, and the cruise is 10 days! So we will be traveling for 2 weeks. Any one have any packing tips to share, or a good packing list?
