  1. We had our wedding cruise on the Breeze in November 2015. There were 10 family members with us and we all had a great time. There actually was live music every night. We went to see a comedian named Roman and he was HILARIOUS!! The food was great, the staff were all very friendly and entertaining. The only Con we had was getting off at Ochos Rios. The line was wrapped around the ship and there was no direction at all. It was a disaster. Other then that, it's a huge ship and there is always something to do! We def want to go back at some point.

  2. We're getting married Nov 18th with our reception on the Carnval Breeze. We have the DJ and I turned in our reception form with a list of songs that we'd like to be played and there were only 6 they didn't have. Carnival said all I had to do was put those songs on an iPod and bring the aux cable and it'd be just fine.

  3. When is your wedding and are you already booked? Wondering if we should be on the lookout for this as well. I am fine with making our own albums but hoping there is not a price increase. Slord12, how did you negotiate that deal?

It looks like "wakeup" is getting married on Norwegian and not Carnival so you shouldn't have to worry. I'm getting married next month on Carnival Breeze and as far as I know you can still get albums.

  4. I got married on the Carnival Dream. My sister is a great photographer. I had her taking pictures pre-wedding while we were hanging out in port town and while we were getting ready. Then we had ships photographer take photos of wedding, reception, and posed photos. That way my sister was able to enjoy the wedding & reception. She still took a lot of photos during that time also, but it wasn't her "job" and she was able to enjoy the day as a guest. Then at one of the ports, we got all dressed up again and had my sister do a photo shoot on the beach... these turned out to be some of my favorite photos. So, we kind of mixed both.

The only regret I have of this is that we purchased the awesome (expensive) photo albums from the ship... and they are amazing but they don't include everything that I consider to be my wedding. My wedding experience started the day we all arrived in town, included getting nails & hair done, our bachelor/bachelorette night out on the town before the cruise, the wedding & reception, then the whole cruise afterward. So, I made a Shutterfly book that includes the whole wedding experience. It's not nearly as good quality as the cruise albums, but that is what I show off to everyone since it encompasses the whole thing, not just the few hours of the wedding.

Were you able to haggle the prices at all or were they pretty strict about the packages?

  5. I was wondering about the tipping as well. I don't know why I would tip the officiate, TWE people or the coordinator on the ship. It already feels like we are being nickel and dimed by TWE. The packages aren't exactly cheap yet you still have to pay for things like chairs. I also think it's crazy that they try to charge you $180 for a $25 aisle runner. I don't know. It just seems like it's too much, but that's just my opinion. :)

  6. I was supposed to get married on the Carnival Breeze in November 2014 but we had to change the date to November 2015.

This first time we arranged everything, they had us sign a contract for the island wedding and the on-board reception.

This time they only had us sign a contract for the island wedding and told us that they have a different form for the reception. Then they sent a form that is like the entertainment form and she said we can complete it and fax it back for file purposes only, since we already paid for it.

Should I be concerned? How can I make sure they give me what I paid for? Anyone else hear this as well??

  7. I'm getting married in grand cayman on 9-19-14. Are you planning on having someone do your hair and makeup? I have curly hair but I want to get it flat ironed then loosely curled. I'm horrible with make-up but they told me that they can't promise that there will be someone to do it for me on the ship.

I was also contemplating doing my own flowers but I just dont know. We're having a 2 hr reception onboard following the ceremony.

Have you already sent in all the stuff for your licenses and and extras you want for the ceremony?

  8. We are gonna try to get the disco for our reception. Neither of us eat steak so we prob wont go to the steakhouse at all.

Does anyone know, if we get the disco is there still someone that does announcing and stuff like that? I want to try to book that soon so we dont have any issues getting that for the reception.
