  1. Hello,

We are considering taking Anthem of the Seas out of New Jersey for a NYE cruise, however we have some misgivings about leaving from a port in the northeastern US during that time of year. The one saving grace that I can see is the indoor pool area, but I was wondering how effectively a room covered in that much glass keeps out the cold air, wind, etc.? Does the Anthem's crew keep this area warm enough for swimming even in the dead of winter in New Jersey?

    Thanks,

    Jay Paolucci

  2. Pet peeves:

People who complain, incessantly, about their fellow cruisers.

People who want a cruise to proceed exactly the way they think it should 100% of the time.

People who think they do everything right and everyone else is doing it wrong.

People who think Carnival employees main job should be to act as little policeman and to catch all the "rule" breakers as those folks break the rules.

People who waste their vacations and their enjoyment by focusing on all their "complaints" instead of just making the best of situations.

People who know exactly what the amenities are before they cruise and then complain that their aren't enough amenities to satisfy them while on the cruise.

People who act like a cruise ship carrying 3000 plus other passengers is their private "yacht" and everyone should be catering to them 24/7.

And so on and so on.....

I did not see an option to "like" this message as there is on Facebook, so words will have to suffice. I could not agree with you more, well said!

  3. Depending on whether or not you purchased a drink package you may or may not have to go and get a sticker applied to your card. On our new year cruise adults already had their beverage stickers on their cards but children in the same room did not have the soda stickers on their cards. I have also heard that this can be the case with the ultimate dining package as well.

  4. The indoor shopping area directly across from where the tenders drop you off has a small stand set up inside with water and various snacks. When you walk into the indoor shopping area go towards the back and then take a right and you should see it. We were able to get water, snacks, gum, etc there before our excursions.

  5. You can also fly from Plattsburgh to south Florida, have you looked into that? The parking is free there too, so factor that into the equation. It's a bit far, but some people from that area drive to Albany just to fly southwest if it's cheap enough.
