  1. I am pretty sure that the amount of OBC given was not determined by the fare paid.

     

    Our family sailed on the Regal on February 4, 2018. Booking was made in March of 2017.

     

    The people in double cabins got the same $100 as the person who sailed solo, and she paid a LOT more per person than we did.

     

    Also, we had booked thru a TA, but I called Princess myself to ask about if we would have the ***** for our sailing. I was referred to Customer Service by the person who answered the phone. The CS person offered the $100 after a chat of perhaps one minute.

     

    I can't remember when I placed that call. I do know that is was after I determined that we would not have *****. (We were right down the hallway on Baja from the ***** rooms. Saw plenty of frustrated people trying to get into their rooms)

  2. We received an email on Fridy telling us that our cabins on the Regal for our February sailing were not going to be ***** ready.

    We booked thru a TA, but I did not want to bother her over the weekend.

     

     

    In any case, I called Princess yesterday and asked to speak to Customer Relations. First person I spoke to made the standard speech that there would still be ***** technology on the ship that I would benefit from.

     

    I told her that I had read the email, and that she was not telling me anything I did not already know.

     

    I was put on hold (9 minutes) and then someone from CR came on the line. She seemed to start by reading from that same list of talking points.

     

    I expressed disappointment,, and then let an awkward silence develop. ( A wonderful skill in difficult conversations BTW). I kept silent, and she offered us each $100 OBC....total $300!!

     

    I checked; it is in personalizer.

     

    So although I had booked with a TA, I did this myself in 20 minutes.

  3. I am trying to book an inside as well as a balcony for a family cruise. (Regal January 2018)

     

    The balcony M101 (deluxe balcony obstructed) is available, but I can find no info on the cabin or what the obstruction is.

     

    Any ideas? Renmar's wonderful site does not have any photos.

  4. In the past I have used the wonderful site put together by Renmar to check out obstructed view cabins on the Caribbean and Golden Princess ships.

     

    Are there no photos of the obstructed view balcony cabins on the Marina deck of the Regal, or have I forgotten how to look for them?

  5. I believve the OP said he was ON the Caribbean Princess which is in the middle of the Atlantic. Not in a position to call Princess.

     

     

    I think he was looking for the cultural response from Jews.

     

    We almost always have non-Jewish guests at our Seders. They participate as they feel comfortable and they eat whatever they want.

     

    And some come back year after year for almost 20 years.

    A wonderful learning experience can be had.

  6. As someone already asked, how did they get your name and Princess log on info if you did not give it to the online site?

     

    I trust you never gave out an credit card info.

     

     

    If you had waited a day to check your personalizer, this booking would have disappeared and you would have been none the wiser.............or at least that is what I understand.

  7. Thanks for posting the link.

     

    I just checked the schedule and see no upcoming dry docks for the Caribbean.

     

    I have two cruises scheduled for Feb and March 2016, and am mildly concerned when I see all the other threads about how the ship is "dirty" or loooking really old.

     

    Am I missing something in the next years schedule, or should I wonder if it will only get worse?

  8. We left a camera in the Club Fusion during a trivia game on the last night, and did not realize until we got home. (Sailed on Caribbean Princess from Houston last year)

     

    We submitted the lost and found form that they sent us, and received a phone call from Princess in about 3 weeks that they had the camera. They gave us the choice of paying to have it Fedexed back to us at our expense, or they would send in via USPost Service for free.

     

    We had the camera in hand via the Post Office the next week.

     

    We live in Houston, so the camera made the round trip to California on its own.

  9. We are sailing on the Golden on Saturday.

     

    I checked my personalizer last night, and it showed 2 excursions booked for Juneau.

     

    But they had changed the arrival time since we had booked, and delayed the departure for the morning excursion.

     

    Our personalizer clearly showed that the first trip returned at 5:00 Pm and the second one started at 4:30.

     

    I am within the five day window this morning, and can no longer cancel on my own.

     

    Call? (I booked cruise thru a TA, but she does not handle excursions) Wait until sailing?
