I feel bad for Magic. She is my favorite Carnival ship and no one seems to want her full time 😊.
We are sailing her for the first time July 4th from Miami. I'm sure we will love her😊

There is also an open week in August with nothing scheduled. Hope it is something unique.

I wonder what the plan is between her transatlantic arriving in NYC on May 15th 2021 and her first scheduled sailing from NYC June 17th.

That is a special cruise, if we had not locked in on the Radiance TA with a group a couple weeks before that was announced, we would have been on with you all.....
We are excited, The Spirit class ships are our favorite and a Journeys cruise from New York on one is going to be fantastic. It will be our first time to Saint Martin and Saint Thomas.

It sounds like all Sunrise sailings have moved to Brooklyn until she heads south for the winter. I wonder if they are getting the Manhattan terminals ready for a busy 2020. The Legend is doing some sailings in May from Manhattan before she heads to Europe. Sunrise and Radiance sailing next summer from Manhattan and the Mardi Gras coming in September. We are on the Legend May 16th and Mardi Gras September 24th. The Sunrise is there also September 24th so it is going to be a great year for Carnival in NY. Maybe they are prepping pier 92 for all this fun😀

We sailed the Sunrise May 23rd and had a great time. The ship is beautiful and the crew was some of the best we have ever had. We don't usually eat at the buffet so can't help on that one but there are plenty of options to avoid it. On embarkation day we went to the BBQ and had no line while everyone went to lido. Sea day brunch in the dining room was always fast with no wait. Don't let others negatively affect your vacation before it starts. We are sailing her again this Tuesday for 8 days and couldn't be more excited.

how was the ship?? i have seen mixed reviews on her refurb.. the radiance is her sister so should be mostly the same
We really liked it. The layout worked well and seems to flow good. We have vlogs started on our YouTube channel if you are interested. It's Dave & Brandy's excursions. We are sailing the Sunrise again July 2nd for 8 days so lots more content to follow.

We were on this sailing but we just changed it to the Magic for July 4th 2020. We just sailed the Sunrise inaugural from New York to Bermuda and had a great time. If the Radiance transformation is like the Sunrise it will be beautiful.

Not sure this is accurate. Horizon is in Miami, Vista is in Galveston and the Panorama is still under construction and going to California year round.

Of course! I'll do a write-up upon return--not too long--not too short! 🙂
So it appears this will all happen in the cruise terminal: Carnival Sunrise’s naming ceremony which will take place at the Manhattan Cruise Passenger Terminal in New York on May 23.
So maybe that's why the first check-in time that could be selected was 12:30? We're platinum and would normally show up at 11:30ish, but maybe will delay it if the terminal will be partially blocked. Guess we'll find out!
We are sailing May 23rd also and got the 11:30 check in time.

We are booked on the first sailing from NYC 5/23/19 to Bermuda and also on the 8 day sailing on 7/2/19 to Grand Turk, San Juan and Amber Cove. Can't wait to see the ship after drydock with all the upgrades.

Saffie is no longer with Carnival. She left after her contract on 5he Pride and never went to the Triumph. Hopefully they release an updated schedule soon.
-
There is not a red frog pub on her now. It will be added when it is transformed into the Sunrise next year. There is a Red frog run bar on the lido deck that should have Thirsty frog red now.

I am hoping that the beer doesn't count towards my 15!!! :')
It doesn't 😁

We were credited for our FTTF also. Called our PVP yesterday and he checked and said we would have to rebook it. He did it while on the phone with him.

We have 2 New York sailings booked in 2019 on Triumph. They took all sailings down yesterday and said they will be back up Tuesday. They are updating the ship deck plans as the Ship is getting a big revolution in dry dock next spring.

People, we need to calm down. I can understand the apprehension since we also have a B2B booked on the Triumph in September 2019. We need to let them complete their changes which will take a couple of more days, then we will know for sure. I agree that some information should have been posted on their website especially in their booking engine and on those effected cruise managers, but it is what it is. Having cruised on Carnival since 1985 I expect the following: The ship will remain as the Triumph. Deck plans will be updated, new cabins and new cabin catagories will be introduced. Those passengers in decommissioned cabins will be moved to similar or better cabins without extra cost. Our bookings will remain the same and we will not have to rebook. Those that booked any excursions including FTTF, will find that those excursions will still be attached to your booking. Take a deep breath and try to relax as hard as that is.
Completely agree. Everyone always jumps to conclusions before they know what is happening. We had a 4j booked on lido for July 2 2019 and were upgraded to a lido balcony last week for free. Carnival has always done right by us and I'm sure they will this time as well. I'm guessing dry dock info gets released tomorrow or Tuesday and our booking will all return.

We were on this sailing as well. Our cruise was great. All crew we encountered were friendly and great. Only thing we felt was the ship seemed to be understaffed. Loved the ship and all the new options.

Room is the same as regular balcony. The balcony itself is longer.

Sailing that "clunker" in September. Can't wait

They have added a 7 day to Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay, and Freeport April 2019from Norfolk. It is the first cruise for the Triumph out of a 2 month dry dock.

We read all the negative reviews about Sunshine and decided to book and form our own opinion. We have sailed her twice with another booked to Cuba when she gets to Charleston. She is a great ship when you figure it out . She isn't any more crowded that the dream class ships. We have the Triumph booked next July from NYC and are even more excited now😁:D

We are enjoying your review Jamman54. We are Sailing the Paradise Sep.10th, Our first Fantasy class ship. We are being crazy and sailing the Miracle Sep.16th the day after we get off Paradise. Our favorite ship is the Pride so I am sure we will enjoy Miracle.

Ken will not be returning to the Pride. His next contact he is going to the Legend. We are excited to see him on our journeys cruise in May from NYC. From what he said Legend will be his new home.
