  1. We just got off the Coral on 2/19, and had it on that Cruise. One of the wait staff at Happy Hour said it was going away.

On that cruise the bar was packed everyday between 3-4. Standing room only Seems like a lot of revenue down the toilet for Princess

  2. How much would a taxi or uber be from lax to San pedro?

We just returned from a cruise that left out of LA. We were staying in Santa Monica and took Uber to San Pedro Terminal. Our Uber cost was $46. Santa Monica is about 15 miles north of LAX, so it would probably be a few dollars less, but as others mentioned it depends on demand and traffic. We left on a Sunday around 11am.

  3. In September of last year we stayed several days near Victoria Station (within walking distance of the bus station). I purchased bus ticket to South Hampton about 2-3 months prior to my trip costing less than $7 USD/pp. it was a very pleasant ride with only one stop that allowed a few passengers to get off. After arriving at the bus station in SH, we walked across street to large grocery store to purchase our wine. Walked Back across street to bus station and Cabs were available to take us to ship. I think the cab fee was about 7 pounds. I would definitely take the bus again. So easy and so inexpensive. On a side note victoria Train station is about 3 or 4 blocks from Victoria Bus Station. Hope this helps. Enjoy your trip!

  4. We are also sailing out of Long Beach, flying in and staying the night before near LAX. Our sail time is 4 on Princess on a Sunday Those familiar with this route, could you offer some suggestions on what Transportation we should use to get to LB, and what time should we leave?

  5. We are a group traveling to Southampton from London by private mini bus on a Sunday for a 4 PM sailing. We plan to leave London by 7:30 and have timed tickets for 9:30 at Stonehenge. We also planned to visit Salisbury Cathedral and view the Magna Carta, and then proceed to Southampton for a 2:30 check in.

We just realized that, as our trip is on a Sunday, and the Cathedral does not even open until 12 noon, we may not have ample time to tour the church, see the Magna Carta, and then arrive in Southampton by 2:15 at the latest. It was suggested that, if pressed for time, we could just do a quick photo stop without going into the Cathedral or seeing the Magna Carta.

First, is it feasible to go to Stonehenge, then on to Salisbury, see the Cathedral, leave Salisbury by 1:15 and still arrive in Southampton by 2:15? Second, what is the travel time ( on a Sunday in June) between Stonehenge and Salisbury, then Salisbury and Southampton? Third, is it worth driving out of our way from Stonehenge to Salisbury( if that is the case) for just a drive through Salisbury and a photo op of the Cathedral without going inside?

We are awaiting word from our transfer company but would like an opinion from local folks, or anyone who has visited the Cathedral and seen the Magna Carta.

    Thanks for any insight.

Can you tell me what Van Company you are using? We are there in September and looking for something similar.

    Thanks

  6. We did Stockholm and Helsinki in September of this year. Stockholm is a city not east to walk to see everything. They do have public transport which seemed a little confusing. People in Stockholm not very helpful. We did the Hop on Hop off which worked well for us. Never had to wait more than 5-10 for next bus and the route took us close enough to the places we wanted to visit. Helsinki was smaller, but had public transportation that was very user friendly.

  7. We did the Baltic Cruise in September 2016on the Princess Regal. Tom of Toms Port Guide was also on that cruise. I would assume he may have some info in the near future. Not sure when your trip is, but may be worth check back on his web site at a later date. We did use the Rick Steves book and it had a lot of great info.
