We had to cancel. Travel agent tried to reach upper management to give us more time to decide, but no reply and deadline was looming. Very disappointed.

i think that is absolutely awful. While we're constantly getting emails from SD offering "cancel for any reason" deals for new bookings, the loyal Seadreamers who let our deposits ride are not treated as well. At a time when every month is like a year in time regarding how the Covid world changes, it is very difficult to make travel decisions months in advance. If it were I in this situation, I would cancel rather than risk a significant amount of money.
Exactly. I’m trying to get an extension?

Uhh SD says 25% cancel fee if we don’t cancel by Sunday. Really sucks. They canceled initial and we stuck by then and let them keep our money for over a year. Worried Italy won’t be fully open for August so I guess we need to cancel now. Will be last time we give SD our funds. Very disappointed. Really want to go but don’t have full confidence. Anyone have any insights? Thanks

This is going from bad to worse. Now 5 or 6 and everyone is stuck in their rooms. We were suppose to be embarking this weekend, so happy the “kids” in our group talked us into moving the trip. Such a shame.

My wife, son, his girlfriend and I will be taking our first Seadream yachting experience in March 2020, Barbados to Barbados. I have a few questions:
Is the laundry service a pay as you go arrangement?
My son was wondering if the all inclusive drinks include drinks like Pina Coladas and Mai-tai's? Apparently these are two of his and his gf's favorite drinks.
Probably silly questions but I appreciate any input.
Thanks,
Bill
Any drinks you want!

Thank you very much. My clients decided to skip Ponant and stick with SD. Sailing in November, and have an extra Stateroom booked due to one couple cancellation, great deal if you are looking for another SD Trip.

Although my only cruise on Ponant was to Antarctica, I would consider them apples to oranges. The balcony cabins are very small (we upgraded to the Owners Suite) and that was suitable. Food, very good to average, nice wines, and good service. I felt like we were on a river cruise which we detest.
Seadream in the Caribbean is the way to go. I have not been on them in a few years, but have booked two for 2020. One in the Caribbean and another Amalfi coast. Food, service, and few passengers, al fresco dining, make it the best. Here I felt we were on a yacht.
I found SD when on another small cruise ship in Sorrento Bay. I looked out and saw what I thought was a private yacht. I said to DH, I want to be on that one. After further inspection, I realized it was SD and not private and that is how it started.

Hello to fellow seadreamers. As a travel planner I have an annual group that loves small ships and the only one we have not done in Ponant and being asked to consider it for the Caribbean this year. They seem to be willing to offer a nice rate for my group. Does anyone have any comparisons to share? Appreciate all feedback. Thank you

Ah, got it. Well engine problem is quite a diversion. Not for me :(

I guess I missed something?? I have been waiting for action and Answers from Andreas for weeks? I haven't heard anything from him about engine problem and internet, I know he can't control the way it works, but being charged for nothing?

Thanks. Working on changing on flights. Just heard the SD sailing was "very booked" so that did it. Don't want to be fighting for deck space while at sea for 4 days.
-
We are suppose to sail in January and looking to switch right now to SS. We did Barcelona to Monte Carlo in the spring And it was wonderful.
-
We love small ships, especially Seadream but have to make quick decision on whether to literally "jump ship" for Jan 4 sailing. Will incur flight reroutung costs but have concerns with SD boat. Any feedback would be appreciated. Have never been on Seabourn. Thanks

So far all anyone at SD has said is it will be a great trip regardless of the engine problem and loss of half the ports. They gave us a spa credit??? Would love to get Andreas' attention? Does anyone have his email?
-
We'll now I understand you will have lots of time to use your credit.
-
Thanks for the info. Us girls can be one of the "guys" :)
My concern is Panama to San Juan is a distance, compared to say a BVi sailing.
-
Have you been in touch with them? We had very little notice. Discount on future cruise??? Not what we expected from them
-
Yes that's what we understand. SD not giving much info. We are not sure what to do?
-
You guys seem to have lots of engine knowledge. Wondering if our group should cancel Jan 4 sailing? Could there be further problems? Not happy about 4 days at sea, fear more?
-
It wont be fixed for our trip on January 4. Just found out about change in itinerary. Concerned about sailing across to San Juan.
-
Is anyone else sailing? Are you concerned that our voyage will be further disrupted? We are traveling from England and considering cancelation. Very disappointed in the port situation and worried it could get worse. Very poor communication and timing from Seadream.

Wondering if the internet or engines are a problem. Very disappointed to hear of problems for our January 4 sailing and very little information or response from seadream.
Shore Excursions…so disappointed!

Does anyone have a cruise that would recommend for mobility limited traveler in Europe. Gets around slowly, happy to use a wheelchair but wants to do excursions??
