  1. Recently booked Seabourn for Mediterranean this summer and Caribbean in the winter. Used Seabourn for booking Business Class on both trips (from NYC)--first time using them for air-- since $500 promos were offered on each itinerary. The winter flight (r/t NYC to MIA) saved us a few hundred dollars overall only with the $500 promo so still worth it (probably could have used our AA or DL points, but still OK). Includes airport txfrs since we're arriving and departing on sail days, so it also saves on taxi $. As for the Mediterranean trip (NYC-FCO and BCN-NYC), not only was Seabourn MUCH cheaper on air, but they were able to offer great non-stop flights on major airlines (we can accrue mileage points). I'm a savvy web shopper for airfares and I could not get anything close to Seabourn's price-- or inventory-- after trying many sources. They worked well with my travel agent, and the price even dropped a few hundred dollars from original quote to booking two days later. Everything linked perfectly to my airline profiles so we could customize seating, meals, etc. on airline websites. Further, the transfers (arrival and departure) and pre-cruise hotel price in Europe were very reasonable through Seabourn. We will see how this all works out, but getting the air (with the $500 promo) was a key reason for booking the summer itinerary.

  2. We stayed in a PH on our very first Seabourn Cruise (Sojourn). As indicated, larger overall space and veranda, free wi-fi, etc. Extra TV in bedroom which is really just a glass enclosure within the suite. And the bath has jacuzzi jets. Overall storage space is about the same. We liked the privacy separation between the toilet and the bath area, and that space has a small sink-- sort of like a powder room. But as time goes on, the price difference between V6 and PH has grown considerably and we found it is NOT worth the difference. Ship location is the same in V6 just one or two decks down. But all guests have same access too all general amenities whether V suite or PH. So, yes we enjoyed the extra space, but unless the price is really close, skip the PH in favor of a V5 or V6 and use the difference to buy some expensive watches in the Caribbean as we did recently!

  3. New member to Cruise Critic, so please be gentle. Planning our sixth overall cruise in June 2014. Trip on Celebrity Reflection will be first time on something other than Seabourn line. We will be booking an Aqua Suite on Resort Deck, port side. Trying to determine two things: which suites in the 2100 series are not DIRECTLY under a pool or whirlpool, and of these can any members tell us which ones will have our feet going in the direction of the ship (so that our head faces forward when sitting up in bed)? btw, happy to respond to any Seabourn questions. Thanks!
