have a wonderful cruise; we are doing joy haven aft both in sept 2022 and oct 2023; what i liked about the joy when we first heard about it is the casino being non-smoking except for a closed in area in the back(if true); hated always walking below the open decks on other ships under the casino floor and smelling the cigarette smoke despite any filtration systems on board;;
-
we love, love, love the virgin mudslides - pure deliciousness(i learned how to make them at home); but as non alcohol drinkers it is not worth the 'gratuities' needed to be paid just for a couple of milkshakes per day; we purchase the adult soda packages for meal time and water packages for the room;
-
definitely; we prefer an aft haven since on most of the ships we have been on there are 2 bathrooms which my wife loves to have; if not available, we definitely go for a 2BR especially on a ship like the Pearl, since there is that 2nd bathroom; other than the bathroom, the 2nd bedroom is not used;
-
so we know the following to be the other classes configs:
"The Haven Aft-facing suites come in 2 configurations for the BA & BA Plus ships. Either the bedroom is near the balcony (Configuration A) or the master bathroom is near the balcony (Configuration B).
First, decide on your preferred bedroom/master bathroom configuration.
With Configuration A, the bedroom (larger) is near the balcony and there is a 2nd access door to the balcony in the bedroom.
With Configuration B, the master bathroom (larger) is near the balcony and has a view of the ocean and balcony but no 2nd access door to the balcony.
Configuration A doesn't have natural light in the master bathroom.
Configuration B doesn't have natural light in the bedroom.
On Breakaway and Getaway, Configuration A is on decks 11 and 14.
On Breakaway and Getaway, Configuration B is on decks 9, 10, 12, and 13.
On Escape/Joy/Bliss/Encore, Configuration A is on decks 9, 10, 12, 13, and 15
On Escape/Joy/Bliss/Encore, Configuration B is on decks 11 and 14. (opposite of BA/GA)
All H6 living rooms are basically the same no matter which ship (BA/GA/Escape/Joy/Bliss/Encore) other than mirror image between port and starboard and decor details. Tiny details (such as a support pole on certain deck 15 balconies) are insignificant.
The balconies are all roughly the same width but differ in depth.
On BA/GA, the size order is 9, 12, 11, 10, 14, 13 from deepest to least deep.
On Escape/Joy/Bliss/Encore, the size order is 9, 12, 15, 14, 11, 10, 13 from deepest to least deep."
we prefer the bathroom to be near the balcony and have the ocean view and not to be inside the cabin with no daylight;
therefore, does anyone have any ideas about the different Haven aft cabins on the Prima as far as the above configs go?
i am aware that since the Haven is aft there are different aft Haven categories and we would prefer the larger of the 2?

i was hoping they repeat the NY to Galveston that does the ABC islands in the southern carib like in oct 2022; that is the exact cruise i was looking for whether in late 23 or sometime in 2024 but it might be a one-off;

Any clue when these will be released? other ships' itineraries are out there to book but not Prima after late 2023.

If you ask, NCL provides a small room, prayer books, a menorah, even jelly donuts every night of Chanukah. They even list it in the dailies. Some nights only a few people showed but other nights about 20 showed. We said the prayers and sang some songs. At least that is what we have experienced.

We have a Sept6, 2022 - 10 day Canada/New England on the Joy out of NYC. No word on any changes......yet.

i cant wait and am already booked for sept 2022(see my sig); had to cancel of course this years cruise along with a couple of Disneyworld vacays and other trips, but it could be worse - i am a very optimistic person :-) ;

rebooked sept 2022 10 day canada/new england from nyc on Joy; with last promo for Aft Haven was $13804 minus 320ish free gratuities and 1500 OBC from TA; bottom line $11984; with new deal for same cabin, lost free gratuities and although room started at 7100 vs 6600 pp, with the 20% now it becomes $12032 for cabin but we pay gratuities and a 1200 OBC = $11152; so it is an $800+ savings; my numbers are rounded a bit but still no complaints here;

thanks for all the discussion; I contacted my TA and he added my and wife's middle names(as appear on passports) to our NCL.com profiles just in case; now everything matches;
-
Ooh great, thanks.

Since one of the platinum perks is a free dinner at either Moderno or La Cucina(the other is Cagneys or Le Bistro of course), and the Encore does not have either restaurant, does anyone know which ones they sub for those two? Thanks.
-
perfect, thanks

anyone know if the config is the same on the Encore as the Escape, meaning, decks 9, 10, 12, 13, 15 have the internal bathroom with no window and decks 11 and 14 have the bathroom with tub right inside the balcony with big window; thanks; on hold with ncl now but they have no clue lol;

The Virgin Mudslide is out of this world delicious!

Thanks for this thread. Called TA and he flipped/rebooked our Aug 2020 Canada/New England Pearl cruise and saved $2400. And his OBC to me only dropped $200 from $1100 to $900. The only loss was the Distinction at Sea promo free phone calls from cabin and the second $50/port excursion perk. But the free specialty dining went from 4 meals to 5 meals so in the end a great deal and one that doesn't come along that often.
-
thanks all; I guess ill wait for the next invite and ask the park west organizer;

we are always getting emails for the free cruises from park west but they have always conflicted with other vacations we had already planned( we plan everything way in advance); we have done the park west weekend getaways and they were nice; so my question is, if we accept the park west free cruise which usually includes a balcony stateroom, all gratuities, etc, do they allow you to upgrade to the Haven or a suite and then, they pay you the cost if you took the balcony and we pay the difference toward the upgrade or what if anything; thanks;
-
we have sailed on the Breakaway in the H6 or whatever they are called now and we always took 9918 which had the bathroom facing the balcony; then on the escape we recently returned and had 11312 which also had the bathroom facing the balcony; I am aware that on the escape, only decks 11 and 14 have this config while the other H6s have that internal bathroom which we don't like; now that the bliss is coming to nyc for some departures, I was wondering on which decks the H6s have the bathroom facing the balcony as opposed to being interior? thanks;

it is very confusing but here it is in a nutshell:
1) if you originally book a non-Haven room and then win a bid to a Haven you get butler/concierge/Haven access, Haven restaurant access, etc.
2) your perks, whichever you chose when you first booked your room, i.e., UBP, specialty dining, etc. or none - that is what you stay with - no changes from your original booking;
hope that clears things up(and hope I am right since it has been confusing in the past lol);
