I did the cruise on the Epic and you can get on it in Rome or Barcelona. Most people get on in Barcelona. We loved Barcelona and would recommend sailing from there rather than Rome. I

I also agree Barcelona is wonderful. Was there with Wife and Kids. We used the Hop on Hop off bus and it was a great way to get around the city. The City is quite beautiful.

My family DW, and kids and myself went on the Epic out of Barcelona this past June. It was amazing. The kids are still talking about it. We also really enjoyed the Epic. We had a balcony and it was amazing sitting out there and being in the Mediterranean. Sitting on the Balcony was one of my highlights. I would suggest spending additional time wherever you board and enjoy that City. We stayed an extra three days in Barcelona and just loved that City. Wished we would have gone out of Rome as it is so far from the City that you really only get a small taste of the city. We hired private drivers in Italy and had an amazing time seeing the highlights. Enjoy!!

This will be our first cruise in Europe. I am reading that I do not require a visa for travel from USA to Spain and cruising in Italy and France. Am I reading this right? Don't want to be one of those people without proper documents. Thans

I would confer that Blue Hole was awesome. Highlight of our time in Jamaica. When we were there it wasn't that bad crowd wise. So I think from reading the other post it depends how many ships are in port.

Been there twice and as long as you stay with your private or ship tour I felt safe. Done dolphin cove, Dunns River Falls, tubing, but my favorite was the secret falls and scotchies was awesome.

I will be traveling on the Epic with the wife and 2 kids 10 yr son and 14 yr daughter. Which is better a family balcony or a family mini suite? They are close in price. Is there a benefit to one over the other? Thanks

We are taking the Epic this summer from Barcelona. Looking at the ship I also see that they Board people in Rome. Do they split the ship 50/50 getting on or is one port busier than the other. Also how is the port and Airport in Barcelona? Thanks

I have found online that you have to be 16 to use the fitness center. Is that unsupervised? We will be on Explorer of the Seas over Spring Break and my son who is an athlete will be a month shy of 16. Can he use the Fitness Center if I am with him? Can not find the answer. Thanks
