  1. We are 13 days out from a family adventure on the Equinox. We are celebrating my brother's 70 birthday. He lives in Australia and his children and grandkids are scattered all over the U.S., so it is quite an ordeal to get all of them, plus his three sisters in one place. My darling sis was unable to join us due to issues with her family, but they have now been resolved. Woohoo! So she called to get a cabin, sold out! Ok well we have three cabins ( a suite and two interiors) that have room. Another response was max capacity? How is it max capacity when some of the cabins hold 4 people and only 2 are in it? Response..1.coast guard 2. Equinox has 11 cabins available and 14 booked? 3. Equinox has 7 people we have to place? So we can't seem to get a straight answer. This is my first time on Celebrity and it just doesn't seem to make sense. The sister in question is an ELITE status and doesn't understand the math either. Does anyone have any experience getting included so close to the sail date?

  2. Got back today!! What a wonderful time, the only hitch was mother nature..today fogged in until 1:30p.m. the port was closed, we finally got thru customs at 4:30, most people were patient but quite a few angry passengers waiting for their adventure.

  3. Ok I know some really like door decorations and others think they tacky, I don't want to start a debate. I would like it if anyone has some witty or catchy phrases for a door sign. My friend is a bubbly late 40 something thar is going on her first cruise. (Paradise) any ideas?:)

  4. One of my favorite things about the Paradise is that you can access a really nice outside dining area with beautiful aft views. Just go all the back on the Lido deck and through the doors. I loved going out there with coffee early in the morning and watching the sunrise.

Oh that sounds right up our alley! Thank you!

  5. It is so nice to have so many thoughtful people commenting. I really appreciate it. I hope I can answer everyone. We live in Tampa, so airplane is not an issue. My sister and her husband have rooms next to my sister (twin) and I. My sister Karen (twin) and I do almost everything together. she is up for pushing me around and does not like to go places by herself, so me being independent is not an issue. I don't think it will be a problem unless we get near the shops, when there are markdowns, then all bets are off. I will be pushed into a rack and she won't remember me for hours. lol My sis and bil go on cruises a lot and are very low key. My two and I have only been on two, almost 10 years ago and were so excited to see and do everything. I have been in the gym and walking on my breaks at work so that I am ready to hit the stairs and walking track on the ship, it will just be a different kind of cruise, just as good, just different. Now we will be on a treasure hunt to find out of the way places and explore, maybe write a review to help mobility challenged people "go with the flow." I can't wait!!!

  6. Thank you so much for all the lovely replies. I really appreciate all the well wishes. I am a planner and this has really thrown a monkey wrench into things, but we will roll with it (pardon the pun) I use a walker around my house (haven't been back to work yet, a semi forced vacation). We will be bringing a regular wheelchair. My twin sister is designated pusher. She has reassured me it is no problem for her to do. I understand the regular cabin doors are 23" so my "plan" (you know how those go) is to get out of the wheelchair at the room and use the walker while in the cabin.fold the wheelchair up I also have a cane, that has already been rhinestoned that I will take with me in the wheelchair in case have to get out when we are out and about. We have already been to Cozumel so we were planning on staying on the ship while we are in port to enjoy the less crowded areas. I don't want to take a handicapped cabin away from anyone that really needs it, so I will skip that. I think I will be all right at the pool and try and use the elevators at off times. I am concerned about the muster station, but y'all have really put my mind at ease. I will read the boards until I cruise 1-23-14 and familiarize myself with the deck layouts. It's the planner in me!!!! Thank you so much.:)
