I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this but I'm asking anyway. If it's a "free" cruise do you even get single points?
-
We just got back from Liberty. We had no issues with them charging refreshment items against our vouchers.
-
Thank you crewsweeper, I will.

Does anyone have experience with the tour group Costa Maya Excursion? They have much better choices for Mayan ruins than then ship. Would appreciate any and all experiences. TIA

Does anyone know how long after reserving does it take to get notification from Manawakie Park? Yes, I sent money via Paypal...
I have received notification from them so disregard! Thanks all and happy cruising!

Thank you Sheltielover256; I'd feel more comfortable doing a ship excursion right now. I usually don't. But my son is 31. But it's all good; we found and ATV and beach day in Cozumel and a beach day in Costa Maya.

My son wants to do an ATV tour in Cozumel. The only one I can find is the ATV RIDE AND BEACH RELAXATION which is 3.5 hours. Of that time, does anyone know how long the ATV ride is? If it's only a short distance I don't want to spend that money sitting at beach most of the time. TIA

Oh man, I hope I catch a break on the refreshment package. I paid $28 a day
Yay! I caught a break, checked this morning and the price has gone down to $22 a day. Called and canceled the other one and repurchased at the new price! It pays to check often

For the refreshment package at $188 that’s $26 a day which is about $19 a day US which is the same price. Keep checking your prices as the refreshment goes on sale quite often for that price.
Same idea with the delux package...keep watching.

Don't forget your two bottles of wine! (if you drink alcohol, that is)
We're gonna go this one sober 😉 We finally made diamond so will limit the drinking to the diamond lounge hours

Thanks Bob...it's been a while and I had no idea. We used to take a case of water and 2 6pks soda. Appreciate your help

In the last 5 or 6 years we have purchased the drink package which includes bottles of water. We are taking a 5 day next and we are not purchasing the package. Does Royal still let you bring on water? Soda?
Thanks!!!

I haven't yet figured out how to search this thread so I'm just going to ask. We will visit the WTC Memorial and museum and then want to do some other sight seeing. On our list is the New York City Fire Museum (our son is a firefighter) and then go to St. Patrick's Cathedral and Empire State Building. How do we get from the Fire Museum, which is close to the WTC museum, to the Empire State bldg then on to St. Patrick's Cathedral? Thanks in advance!

We are on the 9/23 Explorer cruise, so we will miss you unfortunately.
Please stop by the pub and tell Alex and Stephan (Stefan) that Kim, Kim, Lisa, Dave said hi and we miss our nightly shots. Alex makes great shots; so does Stephan.

Jamaica, one of those places that after going once have NO desire to go back. If Jamaica was on the itinerary of another cruise I took, I would stay on the boat.
Our very first "real" vacation was to an AI in Negril back in 2002. I fell in love with the island; beautiful scenery and beautiful people. Then over the years it's just gotten so bad that I have no desire to go back. I still think it's the prettiest island I've ever been to.

And your review?????
We go Jan. 26
We get off when you get on; this cruise will FINALLY make us Diamond. I'm nervous about a small ship but since we went cheap on this cruise I'm hoping to just relax. Our first inside room. Any suggestions for a balcony snob transitioning to an inside?

A few years ago on Navigator the first night of the cruise I slipped in our stateroom and hurt the back of my thigh. It was around 11 pm so I hobbled to bed. The next day we talked to our stateroom attendant and he urged us to go to the infirmary. Finally did, doctor took an xray and I tore my hamstring. I explained what happened (literally just slipped right outside the bathroom, where I was headed) and they sent someone to our room to make sure there was nothing wrong with the carpet.
Our first port stop was Jamaica, the next day, and the doctor urged me to go visit a doctor there. Nope, thanks, just let me use a wheelchair and I'm good. The back of my leg turned purple and black. It was horrible. I couldn't walk for the first couple of days but then I was able to get off the ship for Cozumel and enjoyed our day at Nachi Cocom.
The ship didn't charge me a penny since I fell on the ship. No one ever contacted me to check on me but they did let me use the wheelchair for as long as I needed it. That was good enough for me.

Haven't seen it for OA in June yet.
We're sailing OA next month and I just got the notice. We've already paid for everything we're going to do...but I'm sure we'll figure something out with our OBC. It never goes to waste!

No, no room service on the day you disembark. Windjammer and MDR are the best options.

As a result of this thread, I thought that I'd take a look to make sure that the accounting for my upcoming cruise doesn't hold any surprises, but I don't see anything related to payment. I booked with a TA and we're past final payment by over a month, if that makes a difference, but where on the website does one find the information? DW and I are new to RCI and its less than intuitive website.
If you booked with a TA no payments will show in your online account. If you have purchased any packages, specialty dining or excursions then you would see prices paid in your cruise planner.

Uber is readily available in the Cocoa Beach area.
For transit from MCO to Port Canaveral/Cocoa Beach, I typically use Smart-Two Shuttles if I'm interested in avoiding the hassle of a rental car.
This is who we have booked round trip. How many people were in your van and how many stops? That was my only problem; they aren't private transport. But with max 8 people per van and there are 4 of us there can't be too many other stops...
-
On some RCI ships we've sailed they have had (one night) a late night pool party that has had a buffet.
Last October on Navigator out of Galveston had a buffet set up pool side serving at 10:30 or 11 pm. I don't quite remember. It was limited, finger foods mainly and desserts.

We're 6 for 6 with the rum runners. And since the drink packages we haven't smuggled. Too much worry...too much to carry on. We would take diet cokes and bottles of water so that was a lot to carry around until rooms opened up. It's a PITA to have to leave from where ever you are to run to your room to make a drink. The only upside is having drinks while getting ready for dinner.

Thanks, yes I have 2 cruises coming up from Casino Royale. Just curious because it would be nice to get double points (even single points) to get me closer to D+
