Most folks who get the casino comped cruises report that they got points. I think the free cruise that comes with reaching P also gets points.

Thanks, yes I have 2 cruises coming up from Casino Royale. Just curious because it would be nice to get double points (even single points) to get me closer to D+

  2. Thank you Sheltielover256; I'd feel more comfortable doing a ship excursion right now. I usually don't. But my son is 31. But it's all good; we found and ATV and beach day in Cozumel and a beach day in Costa Maya.

  3. My son wants to do an ATV tour in Cozumel. The only one I can find is the ATV RIDE AND BEACH RELAXATION which is 3.5 hours. Of that time, does anyone know how long the ATV ride is? If it's only a short distance I don't want to spend that money sitting at beach most of the time. TIA

For the refreshment package at $188 that’s $26 a day which is about $19 a day US which is the same price.  Keep checking your prices as the refreshment goes on sale quite often for that price.

Same idea with the delux package...keep watching.

Oh man, I hope I catch a break on the refreshment package. I paid $28 a day

  5. I haven't yet figured out how to search this thread so I'm just going to ask. We will visit the WTC Memorial and museum and then want to do some other sight seeing. On our list is the New York City Fire Museum (our son is a firefighter) and then go to St. Patrick's Cathedral and Empire State Building. How do we get from the Fire Museum, which is close to the WTC museum, to the Empire State bldg then on to St. Patrick's Cathedral? Thanks in advance!

  6. Jamaica, one of those places that after going once have NO desire to go back. If Jamaica was on the itinerary of another cruise I took, I would stay on the boat.

Our very first "real" vacation was to an AI in Negril back in 2002. I fell in love with the island; beautiful scenery and beautiful people. Then over the years it's just gotten so bad that I have no desire to go back. I still think it's the prettiest island I've ever been to.

  7. A few years ago on Navigator the first night of the cruise I slipped in our stateroom and hurt the back of my thigh. It was around 11 pm so I hobbled to bed. The next day we talked to our stateroom attendant and he urged us to go to the infirmary. Finally did, doctor took an xray and I tore my hamstring. I explained what happened (literally just slipped right outside the bathroom, where I was headed) and they sent someone to our room to make sure there was nothing wrong with the carpet.

Our first port stop was Jamaica, the next day, and the doctor urged me to go visit a doctor there. Nope, thanks, just let me use a wheelchair and I'm good. The back of my leg turned purple and black. It was horrible. I couldn't walk for the first couple of days but then I was able to get off the ship for Cozumel and enjoyed our day at Nachi Cocom.

The ship didn't charge me a penny since I fell on the ship. No one ever contacted me to check on me but they did let me use the wheelchair for as long as I needed it. That was good enough for me.

  8. As a result of this thread, I thought that I'd take a look to make sure that the accounting for my upcoming cruise doesn't hold any surprises, but I don't see anything related to payment. I booked with a TA and we're past final payment by over a month, if that makes a difference, but where on the website does one find the information? DW and I are new to RCI and its less than intuitive website.

If you booked with a TA no payments will show in your online account. If you have purchased any packages, specialty dining or excursions then you would see prices paid in your cruise planner.

  9. Uber is readily available in the Cocoa Beach area.

For transit from MCO to Port Canaveral/Cocoa Beach, I typically use Smart-Two Shuttles if I'm interested in avoiding the hassle of a rental car.

This is who we have booked round trip. How many people were in your van and how many stops? That was my only problem; they aren't private transport. But with max 8 people per van and there are 4 of us there can't be too many other stops...

  10. We're 6 for 6 with the rum runners. And since the drink packages we haven't smuggled. Too much worry...too much to carry on. We would take diet cokes and bottles of water so that was a lot to carry around until rooms opened up. It's a PITA to have to leave from where ever you are to run to your room to make a drink. The only upside is having drinks while getting ready for dinner.
