  1. Hi all fellow cruisers,

I will be sailing on Thomson Celebration for a b2b cruise starting in July 2016 in a balcony cabin. The first cruise is "Taste of the Adriatic" and the second one is "Croatian Classics". I am doing a ship excursion every stop. I don't see the point in spending so much time and energy on planning and organising my own private excursions just to save £10 and have no guarantee that the ship will wait for me, if things go wrong. I have spent thousands of pounds on this holiday and penny pinching on the little things isn't what it is all about.

Any questions on these trips, stops, ship or anything else is welcome. Ask now so I can find out clearly and get pictures of the little things required.

I have been doing my own research on the ship and these balcony cabins (cruise critic and other sites) and have not found much, if any, information on this matter. Even Thomson's own website on the ship shows a picture taken before the balconies were built in 2012. 4 years ago and still they are using old pictures.

So it is my mission to fill in the missing details and show people what is missing. Good or bad I will post pictures of what I find. Are these balconies so bad that no one is showing them off, but if that was the case, then people would be complaining and showing us more. There is no decent video's on youtube showing a balcony walk around (that will change after I have been).

I will post a detailed review of my experiences. I have sailed Thomson twice before and my first ever cruise was on Island Escape (that got us hooked). I am a seasoned cruiser and will give an honest opinion to help others. I have a friend sailing on the second week cruise in a single cabin, so I can get details of that element as well.

So anything you need me to find out, let me know now, before I sail as I won't be reading this during the cruise. I'm an IT specialist and the wife makes sure I switch off on holidays and take a break.

Have not seen any pictures. Can you tell me if this cabin can be made into two beds. I am travelling with my sister

  2. I have my name down to phone immediately the repositioning cruise is available by my Thomson TA I called in today and they rang Thomson and were told they still haven't been released They are having a weeks cruise promotion later this month as has already been said and they think they may be released for that Until then they are ringing Thomson twice a week to check - brilliant service I get from my local office They will also match the £100 special offer that is currently on the website and of course if you use them they will book your cabin for you saving you phone costs and the time hanging on

Thanks for the info. I called an agent in London today and they told me that it had not been released yet. Do not know why Thomson themselves are telling people it has been sold out, whereas the Thomson TAS have better infomation.

  3. Believe me, it is not sold out. It hasn't become available to book yet, even in the Thomson travel agents. I don't think it is even shown on line. My travel agent has a list of people waiting to book either of the 2 repositioning cruises. The latest date we have been advised that we can book is the end of September.....very soon I hope.

I will be delighted if you are correct, but do not understand why my sister and I are both being told that it is sold out. I shall call a Thomson agent tomorrow. I am in Canada, so cannot actually go in to a Thomson shop, so I have called Thomson Cruises directly and it was them that told me. My sister also called Thomson Cruises directly on a different date and was told the same thing.
