Anthem WIFI question. Just found out the we get a complimentary WIFI account for our cruise starting on Sunday. Has the internet on Anthem been upgraded to the new system yet? How fast is it? If we put it on my wife’s phone, can we set up a hotspot so that I can use it as well?
thanks in advance!!!!

We board on Sunday morning in Bayonne. Looking forward to it! This will be our first cruise since the pandemic hit! It is also the cruise that will put us into Diamond status!

Hi
I just downloaded the Forums Apps. I am unable to login. I tried logging in on the laptop and am using the proper username and password, but when I try the same on the app it comes up and says "Log In Failed". Just wondering are you only allowed 1 login at a time, ir is the a certain amount of time you have to wait after logging out on the laptop?

On another board, someone made the comment that they had seen a Vegan menu on Enchantment, and that the head waiter said that it was coming fleet wide. Just wondering if anyone is able to confirm this, or has pictures of the menu. My wife is a strict vegan, and it is always stressful having to jump through the hoops trying to get a vegan meal, then having to settle for usually a single choice, then getting that meal almost every night for the entire cruise. We are going to be on Allure in December so are really hoping it is available at that time.

I suspect that when the chair hogs grab their towels first thing in the morning, when there is no one there to scan their seapass. If they had been scanned they would not likely be so inclined to leave then unattended. Or, could it be that 90 % of those in line on the final night to get the charges removed are chair hogs whose towels were taken by others?

We were on Athem in May of this year the prices shown above are correct. JR has a special, you get any burger, fries or rings, and a soda for the special price of $5.00 so you save $.50
We found the pricing very reasonable and ate there a few times.... It was much less expensive than the ones that charge the flat rate....

As a person who requires the use of a scooter, Mine is larger than most, as a result I find it very difficult to get around stacks of dishes. Yes there have been times that the scooter has tipped over the pile and spilled food on the carpet, and yes dishes have even been broken upon occasion.. The hallways need to be kept clear all ALL obstructions including parked scooters!!!! We always get an accessible room so that the scooter does not need to be parked in the hallway EVER!!!!

We are possibly looking to book a cruise on Allure. Can anyone tell me if Allure has metal part way up the balcony like some of the other ships? we much prefer to have pexiglass right to the floor for maximum visabilty while we are sitting out there....

We are from Ontario, Canada. For us it is a 8 1/2 hour drive to Bayonne. We have sailed out of there three times now, once about 4 years ago, last Dec (2017) and again last week. We like to be able to drive to the port, and like the cruises that start and finish from the same port. I use a scooter, and have a lift in our van so that we can transport it. I have never flown with my scooter, but have heard some horror stories from some who have. We also drove to Quebec City for a east coast cruise about 3 years ago.

If I notice that someone is evesdropping on our conversation, I will start talking about the marvelous bowling alley that they have onboard.....

"Check in/Embarkation: At 11:15 AM the terminal was packed with people snaking their way through the security and check in lines. Although it seemed to be mass confusion it was actually a pretty smooth process and Royal does a good job of getting a lot of people through in relatively short order. We did not take a pre-cruise photo, and our experience was very quick. The agent handed us our Seapass card, we went up the escalator and before we knew it DING (you know the sound...squeeeee!)...we were onboard!:D"
I thought on Anthem you got the seapass cards on your cabin door or in the room, at least that is the way it was for us in December. So you got yours BEFORE you got on the ship? Was there a lineup waiting to get them? Seems like this would be a bottle neck in their system.....
Go are on Anthem again in just over a week (May 3), Wonder when we will get our seapasses.......

Here is the link for Freedom
For any other ship, simply replace the FR at the end of the link with the first to characters of the ships name.

We cruised on Anthem in December. We were slightly annoyed the first day when the room was not made up after we had vacated it for quite a bit of time. We quickly discovered that our steward was simply looking for the "Please Make Up Room" card, It was made up very quickly after that.....

"if you run into the Captain
don't ask "who's driving the ship?""
OR "Who's driving the boat?"

My wife is a vegan. She always talks to the waiter on the first night in the MDR, then he send the head waiter to talk to her. She sometimes has difficulty getting then to understand that she can't have anything that has come from an animal, eggs, cheese, etc....
I can't remember what they did for her on the first night, but after the first meal they brought her the next nights menu to discuss if anything can be veganized.
One cruise was not so good, she would get a fruit salad for an appetizer, and another one for desert. Another cruise she got some variation of rice at every dinner. another cruise she got some sort of curry indian dish 4 nights in a row. Our last cruise was on Athem, on one of the nights they had on the menu a sweet and sour tofu, she was really looking forward to it, but they brought her something else.
The vegan deserts are almost not existant, although last time on Anthem was a bit better for her desert wise.
In the Windjammer, you have to be careful, best to find a chef and ask about vegan options. They put butter on just about everything. with some looking around she can usually get a pretty good breakfast and lunch.
Hope this helps....
