A little off the topic, but can anyone explain to me how you can connect to the ship wifi to use the app but without connecting to cellular at sea? We'll be on Independence doing the med with UK mobiles soon so again are happy to use our 4G data when connected to european masts, but I know to use the Royal app you have to connect to their wifi which I thought meant turning aeroplane mode off. How do people do this usually?

The pool is usually closed after about 8pm- i'm pretty sure the opening times are in the cruise compass. I remember going to the park cafe for a snack after dinner and there being netting across for the night, I suppose even more so now that there's a lifeguard too!

Loving your review, what a gorgeous family too! We sailed Vision in the Med a few years ago- ended up going to lots of quizzes!! But we did love how much glass there was everywhere and the beautiful centrum :)

On Pizza:
I Called Royal yesterday and they said the deck plan is wrong for the current dates (our cruise) and it mistakenly omits the pizzeria. Supposedly they will fix the web site.
Yes!! You're a star :D

We've had 4 adults in a standard interior before and my mum and I pack a lot of makeup and shoes! We still had enough room for storage, the only issue we would ever have is shower time but that would be the same regardless of the cabin type. My advice would be to have some battery operated lights that you can use but otherwise enjoy the nice dark room to sleep in! When we had a balcony all we used it for was drying towels and swimwear pretty much, lol

Hi all, this is my first trip on Jewel on the 30th of May sailing. I was just looking at the deck plans and noticed that there's currently a pizzeria in the solarium, but on the deck plan that covers my sailing this disappears. Are they taking it out? Are there any other small cafes on board? We're massive fans of a late night pig-out in the park cafe so I'm hoping that there's somewhere doing midnight c
We will be on this sailing as well - have you checked out our roll call? Can't wait!!
I just posted in there a few days ago! ;) see you on board! I'm so excited now! :D

In my experience from trying to change a cabin (last August) from the UK, we were told that the only way is to cancel the original booking and rebook thus incurring a cancellation charge. No matter who we spoke to no-one was prepared to help us get around that :( we didn't bother in the end as the cancellation fee was big!

Hi,
We;re taking our first cruise to Rome this summer and I'm trying to plan our day out without paying Royal Caribbean's extortionate prices. Looking at getting the train- does anyone know what it's like getting a seat on the train from Civitavecchia to Rome? I see that you can't book in advance and reserve your seat- could someone explain how it works please? Is it just first come first serve once on board? My mum has arthritis so will not be able to stand for an hours journey.
Thanks in advance!

Hi, does anyone have any recent pictures of the 'large' interior staterooms on Vision? Not our first choice of room type but everything else was sold out on our cruise! Interested to see what they actually look like, I've a feeling the little thumbnail you see on their website is a bit outdated.
Need to know if there will be enough room to smarten up for dinner without falling over each other! :)

Doing the same in July, would love to hear about all the ports- I can't decide which ones in particular! My mum is really looking forward to Santorini, and I am excited about Rome and Naples. Can't decide how to go about booking trips so any advice greatly appreciated! :)

Beautiful photos! What camera is that?

From the RCI website:
'For Action & Adventure
Scale the rock-climbing wall on the top deck, do laps on the jogging track, try the sports courts for some team games, or visit the newly refreshed Fitness Centre for a workout'
Very confusing!

Hi guys,
sorry if it's been asked before. Is there a sports court or a mini golf on Vision? It says that there is on their website, but then I can't seem to find a mention anywhere else!
Thanks :)

I sailed on Brilliance last summer, we bought the all inclusive photo package and made the most of it! If I remember rightly, there were a couple of backgrounds to choose from on non-formal nights and then around 4 or 5 on formal nights. We'd have mum+dad, daughter+son, whole group and a few individuals at every background! Plus photos taken at events, round the pool, on the climbing wall and during dinner.
The people working on the photo stand came to know our faces well and would even take out our photos and keep them together for us :)
We probably came away with about 150 photos :o

Hi all, long time no see- first cruise post covid! Does anyone know if there's still themed dress nights on board like white night or anything like that? On Ventura in September 🙂
