  1. I have a pink glittery chi right now, and I can say it's the best flat iron I've ever had. I had a baby bliss last year, and it emitted a smell of burning hair and plastic after a year of owning it :/ . The chi doesn't completely fry my hair either so yay.

  2. do you figure that ??

    (my emphasis)

The OP has not even mentioned port of departure or itinerary. Why would an older "boat" automatically be better ??

Well, I just suggested my lil theory because newer ships like the Magic seem to have the newest water slides and kid perks and more families tend to go on these ships since they are usually bigger. I was just trying to help here, although I've only been on three cruises. No need to lash out the snarky comments.

  3. On the last cruise I went on, (I was 11), my parents thought I was responsible and mature enough, so I would go down to the arcade or go watch movies on the outside theatre when they were available. If you're lucky, maybe your son will make some friends or something in camp carnival or just in general and they can just travel around in a little pack with each other. (Safety in numbers!) I also noticed, that when I went there were always a lot of kids doing mini golf at night.

  4. Back in 2011 we did connecting balcony cabins with 2 adults and me and my two cousins. It worked GREAT, but you might have to watch the rooms because ours met the equivalence of hell by the end of the cruise. If they're responsible enough and you have the money to spend, I highly advise two cabins.

  5. I would suggest a older boat such as the freedom or the imagination, but avoid newer boats like the magic because there will likely be more kids which isnt as quiet unless you go seclude yourself in a corner.

  6. When I last went on the Magic, they always showed the today show in the morning and the had an 80's movie night one night. I had no issues hearing anything, but then again it was like 8:30 at night and the lido was deserted except for like ten to twenty of us.

  7. Hello! I'm Candace and I'm fairly new to CC :D Anyhow, I do have a request for ideas regarding keeping intouch on the boat. So my family is going on the Magic at the end of this month, and we want to know if theres a way to communicate with eachother without having to buy the internet, cellphone service, or walkie talkies. In the past I've just ran across the ship and told my parents where I was going to be in person, but it's a hassle and I'm not always able to get to them,(If they're in the adults only area, the casino, etc.), so some forum of wireless communication would be nice! I remember hearing something about using Carnival's forums a while back, but I just wanted to know if any of you had ideas! Thanks!

    {P.S, its just my two parents and me, so I can't use the buddy system with siblings. (curse being an only child :()}

  8. I apologize if I seemed rude..lil stressed out lately. :( anyhow, it is a nice gesture but it could be taken in the wrong way by some. Maybe replace it with more money..I mean, who doesn't love money :D

  9. Most importantly DONT MISS THE BOAT.

    Made me laugh :)

Anyhow, I didn't go through all the messages, but I believe the first thing we always did when going on cruises was go to the lido and claim your seats while it's empty. Get them ASAP, because the first thing everyone wants to do is go lay out in the sun and swim and yadayadayada. Along the sides of the ships, I don't exactly recall on which deck, but there is hottubs and I rarely see many in them...they were deserted at sunset last time I went, and it was amazing to watch the sunset in a hottub! Whatever you do, don't miss the sunset.

  10. I think this is a good idea and all, but I think the crew members might not exactly care for the candy, I mean, they aren't lil kids...like one previous person commented, it's kind of demeaning. Heck, I'm 13 and I personally find it a little bit demeaning.

  11. Don't worry, although many dress in full length gowns and tuxedos like it's their prom, it's no big deal at all just to wear a nice polo with some dress pants, and as for the ladies, nice office clothes would likely work just fine. Have fun! :D

  12. I honestly find it a little humourous that we are all sitting here arguing about tablecloths on a forum for cruises!:D Anyhow, I am not going to freak out if there isn't any tablecloths on our tables when I go on the Magic this spring. I personally would prefer them and will be a little disappointed if they aren't there, but if they aren't the world isn't going to end.

  13.

As far as the comment of eating off the table that 3000 others have....do you really believe that on a ship worried about norovirus and stuff that they dont wipe down the table between servings? Come on!!

Well no, I obviously know they wipe down the tables after each person, but at least with a tablecloth your entire surface got switched instead of just being wiped off. I know I sound extremely high maintenance but I think it's not only gross, but tacky and unprofessional.
