We are cruising on the dream in April. We have be on several ships with steakhouses, but I just could never justify spending $ when I'm completely happy with the food in the dining room. So, for those if you who have indulged, why would you say it's worth it to you? Or were any of you disappointed with the experience?

Wife and I did David's the first night on the ship. They added a complimentary bottle of wine. We were happy and enjoyed the expirence. We have debated on to go again this year. It will be our one year anniversary when we set sail the 22 of June , so we just might again.

My first was last June 23...Carnival Pride. Going on .2nd this June 22...Pride again.

It always amuses me when people are so disparaging of baked beans on a breakfast buffet. It's not a way of being cheap, it's a way of providing traditional breakfast foods. I'm sorry if they don't happen to be *your* traditional breakfast foods but hey, here's a hint: there's a lot going on outside of your world. Instead of making fun of what you don't know, maybe embrace a little change. Or at least accept it. But to just rag on it because it's not what you know makes you look a little silly and small minded.

Well I'm indeed surprised to read that smoking is allowed on the balconies! I just got off the Victoria and had a German neighbour whinge to guest relations every time I had a cigarette on the balcony (I can assure you I wasn't the only one who did)....which wasn't very often as I actually thought I wasn't allowed to and guest relations would in turn ring me.

Well....I wish I could turn back time to annoy her the way she annoyed me. There is much more to this story but another time.....perhaps a new thread, "The cruise neighbour from hell"

True. I agree with what you have written. However, as a non-smoker, I feel absolutely no sympathy when a 30 year, 2 pack a day smoker develops terminal lung cancer due to smoking. I mean it should be expected.

It must be awful being a drug addict addicted to nicotine.

 

I don't either....I'm just saying what I believe. You smoke....you know consequences!

We are on the pride & effective our sailing there is no more captain Morgan being served! Carnival is replacing it with Bacardi Oak Heart as the same! Definitely not! I hope they bring it back or we will have to sale another line!

When I smoked , it was in the casino , my deck or the side they allow it on the sun deck. Smokers deserve rights just as much as non smokers. They work , they pay taxes and cruise like anyone else.

And the great thing is that the Verrazano Bridge connects two parts of the SAME city while the George Washington Bridge at least spans two different states. :eek:

 

Upon my travels to Long Island , you pay $15 and in the last 5 years I see very little road improvements. And the Gothels Bridge scares the hell out of me!

Kinda amusing that when one chooses to sail from a cold weather port in the winter, that one would complain about the cold weather life boat drill.

Wife and I stood in heat for 10 minutes....didn't care cause 20 minutes later we were on Sundeck for an hour!

It was my first cruise ever last June as wife and I went on our honeymoon. It def made a cruiser out of me cause we're going back this June! Sure we want to expirence other ships , but until we do , I'm not dissappointed at all with this ship.
