We just returned from our cruise that stopped in St Kitts. There was a guy right at the end of the cruise ship terminal with 2 monkeys. We stopped to look at them and all of a sudden the guy put them on us. We figured we would tip the guy $5 and be on our way. Until he demanded $20 from us. For a couple of pictures, no way! He called a policewoman over. We told her our story and she told us it was ok and enjoy our day. Obviously it's a known problem and she has to do that all day long. The guy would've gotten some money from is but was so aggressive that he got nothing. It didn't stop me from enjoying the island, it just was a little aggravating they are trying to take advantage of unsuspecting tourists. The monkeys were cute though!

We had him on the Voyager of the Seas about 10 years ago and then again on the Freedom of the Seas two years ago. The best cruise director. He will be missed!

I was on the Oasis a few years ago during the Super Bowl. All the food the had for the Super Bowl party was included, not an extra fee. It was a lot of fun!

If I remember right, they do an event for all Crown and Anchor members and then they do another event for Platinum and up. My last cruise I remember going to more than one event as an Emerald member. However, that was 2 years ago so it could've changed.

Ok! Thank you! I was a little confused since the reservation said Cupey. But since it's the same on as the Adventure, I know where I'm going now.

I tend to drink less on cruises just because it is pricey! I might have the drink of the day and I usually purchase a bottle of wine or two for in the dining room during the cruise. Then I seek out the RCI Crown and Anchor events where they usually have free booze Plus, we always leave the ship when in port, so not much time for drinking.

I feel this a lot since we go on a cruise every winter. I'm in my late 30's and I feel people are judging me and wondering how we can pay for it even though cruises are a good value. I've decided not to let it bother me anymore. My husband and I work hard for our money and can do whatever we want with it.

Is the Pan Am pier the one right across from the Sheraton in Old San Juan or is it the one a little further away that the Adventure is at?

I went to Dominica 4 years ago. From what I remember, the port was pretty undeveloped in comparison to the rest of the ports on the itinerary. Downtown is a short walk but we didn't go because we took a shore excursion. Please don't discount this beautiful island upon first glance because it is still developing. We took an jeep excursion to some natural springs. We got back early and took a taxi to one of the black sand beaches. The taxi driver was kind enough to come pick us back up when we were done. It wasn't too expensive either.

Hi! I am new to Cruise Critic although I read it a lot. This will be my 10th cruise and all of them on RCI. However, this is my first time on the Jewel of the Seas. I was just wondering how similar it is to the Serenade of the Seas before it went into dry dock? And if anybody knows who the Cruise Director is on Jewel? Thanks!
