  1. Hello, just curious...did you purchase your tickets to the bus before your cruise or did you purchase when you got off the ship? How long a wait if you purchased when you got there? We are sailing to Saguenay next fall and since we are in port for less than we first thought, I would like to make sure my mom and I make the most of our time there.  Thanks

  2. Traveling Regal Princess in 2 weeks...curious...has anyone had to get distilled water in their room.  Husband has CPAP machine and needs distilled water for it.  Has anyone ever traveled with this sleep machine and needed distilled water? Can I simply request from purser's desk, or should we just go to the Walgreen's by our hotel and pick up a small jug before boarding the ship?  Thanks for the help.

  3. Actually there is enough information on the Medallion that even Princess was concerned about it being downloaded onto the App wrong.  That is why they are trying to fix it before our sail date.  The credit and immigration info might be in secure storage but the info that needs to be on the Medallion is wrong.  Thanks anyway.  I just hope this gets fixed.  Have checked again today....still wrong.  Again...fingers crossed..

  4. My family info.  The information that is suppose to be inserted once you put your booking reference number into the Ocean Ready App.  Princess is trying to correct it for me.  The status of a couple of family members went in wrong as did some of the personal info that appears correct on the Princess.com website, but it is not transferring properly into the App.  Apparently, that is one of the kinks that appeared over this past weekend they are trying to fix.  Hopefully all will work out soon.  They are trying to make it work for me by the weekend.  Fingers crossed 🙂

  5. I realize you don't need a smart phone for the Medallion, the problem is that the information being programed on the Medallions about our family members that are cruising is not correct.  I called the Princess and explained the problem I was having and I was told over the weekend a huge problem occurred with the Ocean Ready App and everyone who downloaded it recently is likely having problems.  They don't even know if the App will be fixed by the time I get on the ship, so our correct information may not even completely be put on my Medallions.  They have  implemented an IT Ticket to the tech department to try and fix it for us.  I realize kinks need to be worked out, but I just think this Medallion was a waste to begin with.  I just want sun, beach and a mojito!  Been a long winter 😉  18 Days to go!!!

  6. DRS/NC...I am with you!  I have a smart phone and I just want a cruise card.  I have been trying for 2 days just to get the correct information to download when I put in our reservation information.  We have decided this hassle is not worth it.  We cruise in 3 weeks.  I just want my cruise card.  I can get up and go to the bar to get my own drink and I am capable of opening my own door!  Calling Princess today to find out what to do next.

  7. Sailing on the Grand next month and have a question regarding the sofa beds. We are a family of four and have experienced both the best of sofa beds and worst of sofa beds on Princess. Since she went into dry dock for some upgrades, does anyone know if the sofa bed mattresses were also upgraded? Are there any families of 3 or 4 who have had to use the sofa beds who can give me an update on the sleeping condition of them. Thanks.

  8. Can't say I like the sounds of that. We are heading on the Regal in three weeks, and I purchased both OBC and Casino Credits. It I want to play the credits and then cash out what I did not use, I should be allowed to do that. I bought OBC to pay for the excursion and cover the gratuities with a little extra to spare for wine at dinner. They are separate items and should stay as such. I hope we do not have any problems playing with our credits but cashing out if the slot machines are not paying that night. It is my money, I should be able to dictate how I want to spend my casino winnings (or losings). Guess we will find out if there are any problems when we get on board. Happy sailing...I hope!

  9. Thanks, Mina. Appreciate the info. My husband and I do like to play a bit (we did pretty good in Vegas at the penny machines ;)) so we would probably like to play for some time. However, that being said, if we are not having luck, I still want the option to cash out, or even if we do win, I would like to cash out even more. I figured in the end they could not make you keep the money as on board credit. I thought you should be able to take the chips or casino card to the cashier and get your money. I will call soon and get my casino cash for the cruise. Thanks.

  10. OK, Mina...talk me through this. How easy is this system? How do you create an account on the slot machine? Did you have to put all $100 on the machine or could you just have put a small amount? I assume you do not "cash out" like you used to with the old slot machines. So how do you "cash out"? How easy is it to put the "winnings" back on the card and when you take the card back to the cashier is that when you cash in your "winnings"?

Thanks for the info. Going in March. Not sure if I trust this system, but really want to call Princess soon and get casino credits like everyone else.

  11. downsmead...THANK YOU!!! That is exactly what I wanted to know! My daughters are going to be 18 & 19 and yes, they too are very close. :D I love that your daughters shared the bed. We tried that on our last cruise, but the sofa bed was REALLY small and incredibly uncomfortable. We ended up getting a roll-a-way and it was still bad, but better. We were hoping that a new ship will have a more comfortable sofa bed. I was wondering if there was actually room to pull one out as the desk looked really close to the sofa, but I guess it just fits. Surprised that the pullman bed pulls down like that. That is different from the other ships we were on, but good to know. If you have some pictures, that would be great, otherwise, you gave me exactly the info I was looking for.

    Thanks again.

  12. We just booked on the Regal and we are a family of 4. I have seen plenty of pictures of the Deluxe Balcony Staterooms but NONE with either the sofa bed out or the pullman bed down. Does anyone have pictures of the room made up at night? We have stayed in these staterooms on other Princess Ships, so just curious what it looks like in comparison. I know the descriptions points out that the balcony door is obstructed, but this is no different than the set up on the other ships. You still have to climb over the sofa bed to get to the balcony and be very careful you don't bang your head from the pullman bed when going onto or coming from the balcony. Again, just curious how much space these actually take up as it looks like a tight space to put these beds. Thanks for your help.
