Silversea now offers a post cruise experience (probably pre cruise too, depending on which way you are going), We are cruising June 2025 and think of doing this at the end of cruise (Vancouver to Seward).  Does anyone have any opinion and would middle of June be too early to really get the most out of it.  

As far as the white spaces on the Nova, we are thinking about 8042 and does hat white area jut out on the outside of the ship, which could affect your view on the side of balcony.

Anyone ever stayed in suite 8042?  

So facing the door from the hallway, if the bump out is to my left, the bed will be on the left side of the room.  Perfect, thanks.

I have an issue with my right shoulder so prefer to sleep on my left side.  I would rather be facing the sofa (and open space) when I sleep, opposed to the wall. We plan to sail on the Nova.

Is there any way to tell which side the bed will be on when you walk into the room of the veranda suite? 

I just saw a video and it seems the elevators make a dinging sound when they open.  If you are staying  in a room right by them, will you hear it?

Could someone tell me if nice jeans and nice top are allowed in the dining rooms for dinner?

We went thru a travel agent and picked our available cabin when we booked.

My suite is pretty much across from the technical area on our floor.  Anyone knows if that could be an issue or just nothing I should be concerned about.

We are thinking of switching to this room because it would face land on our upcoming Alaska cruise.  I assume since it's toward the back of the ship, motion wouldn't be an issue.  I have not really cruised since I was really young and really don't remember where we stayed on the ship.  

Has anyone stayed in that Medallion suite?  It is toward the aft and concerned about motion sickness and cigar smoke coming up from the cigar lounge.
