  1. Eden Rock is great snorkeling right near the port. No beach but there is an area there to sit. There is a dive shop right there and some restaurants nearby.

As far as a beach, we just returned from Grand Cayman and decided on the Calico Jacks area on 7 mile beach. Just grabbed a taxi there $5pp each way and less hassle than dealing with the local bus. Plenty of taxis/buses waiting to take you back to the port. Definitely crowded on 7 mile beach but got 2 chairs and an umbrella for $30 and had a nice day there. Got less crowded early afternoon as many cruise passengers with earlier departure times headed back to their ship and we were able to move to a slightly better chair location along the water.

just wondering if it was worth getting off the ship?Do they have shops there?

  2. I just received an email from Island Marketing regarding the Nassau Riu Palace Beach Resort AI Day Pass. It says that "Riu is not currently available to your requested date at this time". Our date is in Feb. 2018 so not sure if this is too far out for them to book? However' date=' they then go on to say that spaces are still available for BCH day pass so that is what I went with. The convenience is a big plus since we won't arrive there until noon and our time there will be short. As CruisinCrow pointed out, it will be dark fairly early...a good point. Also, the deposit is minimal and not a big deal if we have to cancel.

Thanks all for your great replies.[/quote']

The riu will be closed due to renovations till oct, thats why island mk cant do the request

  3. Let's see if we can clear this up for everyone...There are two documents related to your cruise: Your set sail pass and your cruise documents.

When you do your online check-in, you will get your set sail pass with a small 'sample' of half a luggage tag. This is indeed not a real luggage tag:

About 49 days before the cruise, your cruise documents will be released. This has the real luggage tag on the last page (I have modified it hide our names, etc on these documents):

This is what it looks like on the RCI website. Click to view your reservation, then click on the tab that says, "Check in online":

This is where you find the page that will allow you to print your luggage tags. You can also find the luggage tag on the last page of the cruise documents.

Happy cruising and enjoy planning your next adventure at sea :)

something must be different because im 44 days till we leave and there is nothing on the set sail page saying luggage tags or print,i can print and did my set sail page but nothing else is there so I guess I will have to get them when I get there, they should tell you about this,it would be nice not to wonder about it

  4. Parking is $20/day. There is garage parking. If the garage fills up, there is ample outdoor lot parking, so no need to "reserve a spot".

The pier is at the end of a two mile peninsula with nothing much around except a small 911 memorial. It's a port, so there is security.

Currently there is construction at Exit 14A on the turnpike, so there can be traffic congestion. Check back before your cruise for the current status.

    Thank you so much

  5. I am on the Anthem right now and would prefer it if they sailed somewhere safe and gave us a few extra days at sea. It is very inconvenient for me for the cruise to be cut short. I'm having work done at my house and can't go home until 3/4/16. I'm not complaining though. This has been an AMAZING cruise. I hope they offer a discount on the next one.

I know what you mean,I just told my husband if we came back to port I would prefer it if they just let us stay onboard till the vacation is over!

  6. I did just about everything they asked of me from putting my own picture on the online check in to completing everything to the credit card then it says you can print your setsail pass but I cant find the luggage tag,is it the set sail pass with your boarding time and room # on it,it's kind of fat,not like a luggage tag?Im not that great on the computer so im amazed I got this far!Any help will be appreciated

  7. Yes, it is worth it.

    VERY easy to use.

After you board, just open up a browser on your tablet. The sign-up information will pop up automatically as soon as you try to go to a website. It just walks you through the very simple process.

    :)

Thank you everyone,Im sold! I just like to stay in touch even if I cant do anything,LOL

  8. Ifly, north star should be reserved thru your cruise planner. If you can't i heard best place to go is guest service. You can do stand by on north star. When i did that we was on so fast it feel like i was one of the reservationist. Bumper cars should be check in compass. Please note it run for like two hours because it battery operated. Best tip to get there at least twenty minutes prior to start time. If line is short to your liking, go on gain and again.

I was in solarium on embarkation day. the food is good. However my chicken needed to be adjusted. There was a skin on it and it was loaded with salt. After i took the skin off i am fine with it.

Indoor and outdoor. It depend on how well you tolerate the weather. I like more outdoor and lay by pool area, deck 15 to relax and tan a bit. Indoor is the casino and restaurant. I am guy who hated buffet. I rather have them served me. I also did the win a cruise bingo. The only problem with them is where they set up the table.

Tips. When you are in your complementary restaurant , you can get a dish from across the hall. Icon and Silk with Chic and Grande. There a huge big kitchen back there that connect the two restaurant. Also i would book a specialty restaurant after you tried all four or if you want to avoid formal night in grande. Grande is the only one you need to be dress formal at all time.

Ifly tip separate your time if you plan to film or take picture. There is no camera allow inside the tunnel area even if you are sitting down waiting for your turn.

I just want to make sure I understand the tip,If im at Icon and I want something I know is on the Grande menu I can order it and get it at Icon?

  9. I think it was either a D2 or D3. Definitely not a D1. We didn't have a lot of choice when it came to cabins as only booked the week before Thanksgiving. It was SUPER close to the Aft elevators. Very convenient to everything. Once I can figure out how to post photos, I'll try to get some of the balcony up this weekend.

Oh I would love to see the pictures,I booked 13252 and was wondering if it was a good spot

  10. I usually cruise the first week in May to Bermuda and many years I do go in the water. It really depends on what you are used to. If you are used to going to the beach in June in NY,NJ or New England you can easily go in the water in Bermuda during your time frame. If you are used to swimming further south you will find it too cold.

Thank You so much,Yup we go to the Jersey shore in June sometimes even go to ocean city Maryland and Yet to have a problem with the water temp.I actually like when the water is a bit cooler when it's alittle warm and Im sure if Im walking around I will welcome a dip.

  11. Going out 4/30 to 5/5 to Bermuda, never been there, just wondering can you go to the beach and swim at that time, the weather looks like it doesnt get hot till Aug.ALSO If you had only 2 days there what Beach would you not miss. Thanks in advance.
