  1. Not sure where you all live, but check with your local AAA office to see if they sell pesos. Ours in Southern California does and at a fairly favorable exchange rate. Makes things very easy. The only caveat is that they sell in increments of $100 USD.

  2. We tried to use über on May 23 when we disembarked and got a rookie driver who got lost and cancelled our ride. You're better off securing a private car ahead of time as it is a total zoo in the taxi line. The private cars were coming in constantly and swiftly. Good luck!

  3. Harv and Marc were very easy to work with in Juneau. You'll be practically on a private tour as our boat maxed out at 6 guests. Their boats are nimble so you can chase down the whales pretty quickly once spotted.

  4. Just got off the solstice cruise and yes, the casinos are open while cruising. They open/close at various times each day depending on port arrival and departure times. They are open very late as well.

We experienced very calm seas but dense fog while cruising in the open ocean. We had many days of rain too, but it didn't dampen the cruise (pun intended)

  5. We just left the solstice today and are in our early 40s....but we play like we're in our 20s. You will be fine. While there is a wide variety of ages, we met many people our age in the martini bar and the molecular bar. Did not visit quasar because no one (and I mean no one) was in there. Our group was very active until well past midnight every night. For those going in the next few weeks, Igede was awesome in the martini bar.

  6. I just left the solstice today and had a tension area massage while on board. Price was $150 plus gratuity. Alfredo was my therapist and was excellent and very well trained. I get regular massages at home an this was very good. You will be pleased.

  7. I just finished the May 16 Alaskan cruise on Solstice and had a neck and shoulder massage. I think they also call it a tension area massage. It was $150 plus gratuity. Alfredo was the therapist and he was highly professional and addressed all of my tension areas. I get regular massages and this was very good. Enjoy

  8. We are flying into SeaTac on Delta on the Sunday our ship sails--arriving about 8:30 AM. Probably taking Princess transfer. Would like to get some wine to take on board. Either at the airport or within walking distance of the port. Anyone aware of a place to buy wine at either airport or walking distance form port.

You can also stop at Vino Volo, right in the airport terminal at SeaTac and pick up a couple of bottles. They have a slight markup but will save you time if you just want to grab a taxi and head right to the pier....
