Thank you for the update. I was wondering about that and if anyone had information about the possible delays due to the lock repair at Kemb? We travel on the Viking Mani from Basel to Amsterdam March 31, 2017.

We have never done a river cruise, and really are not sure what to expect with the "included" excursions. I am just hoping that they give us quality time and experiences at the sights and not just a drive by. I have heard different stories about included admission to the Louvre and have emailed Viking for the details, still waiting to find out.

After taking this cruise, did you feel like you missed out on anything or wished that you would have booked additional excursions? I know my husband wants to go to Versailles, not sure if we wait to book it on the cruise or find something private.

Has anyone taken this river cruise? We are going in March and are unsure of what extras to add to the included excursion. The Viking page for day to day detailed itinerary is not updated... any advice would be appreciated, we want to make sure the excursions they offer are fulfilling.

Thank you so much for your very detailed review. We are taking the same cruise in March on the Neptune. My dad and my husband are really looking forward to Normandy...is sufficient time given there or should we look into an additional excursion option? I think they would want to do the American one only. I understand that these excursions are typically a "taste" of what is there, but we don't want to miss anything. We are so excited, I can't wait to show them your review...it will answer a lot of questions and concerns.
