I was on Explorer a year ago. It was nice. Seemed to be in good condition.

Thanks. I was wondering because one person in our party is abroad and the other will be in California. They aren't due back home until a week before the cruise. I was wondering if I could do it for them.
If you have a photo of them you could take a "photo" of the photo. I did that for my daughter as she was at school when I checked in. Do you have access to everyone's reservation? Why can't this person check in online? They can do it from anywhere.

I've seen someone bring a whole case of water on board. You do have to carry it on.

You don't have to take the picture and can skip it.
I tried to skip it and it wouldn't let me. I used to be able to skip it, but not recently.

People have to take a photo when they check in. Usually, it's done on a phone in app. Each person can do their own. It's not hard. It will probably be retaken when you board anyway.

I was on Vision in August and am sailing again next month. I have a cruise on Liberty in August.
Vision was nice. It is smaller than Liberty. Liberty has an ice skating rink, ice show, promenade. Depends what you're looking for.

Not sure why you're complaining. Yes, it sucks you couldn't continue your cruise. Would you have preferred the cruise line did not pack up your belongings so you wouldn't have them? Would you have preferred you continued on the cruise even though your husband needed surgery? Also don't know why you think you should get money from the cruise back. It's not like the cruise line could resell the room.
As someone else said, medevac is expensive and would only be if someone is on death's door. That wasn't the case here.
Yes, people should buy travel insurance. You learned a valuable lesson.

Not everyone likes dogs.
Then they don't have to associate with him.

I'm still curious what the point is, of having a "mascot" dog aboard.
I'm sure the crew like having him onboard. I like the idea. I wish all ships had them.

On cruise in August, I saw people get multiple entrees, appetizers, and desserts simultaneously. I did order two appetizers instead of an entree and got both at the same time.

Has anyone been to Paradise Beach? I just googled it and it seems like it's near the port. I would like to snorkel, if anyone knows of a beach near the port.

I need to purchase travel insurance for an upcoming cruise. Is there a benefit to purchasing from my travel agent versus you? If so, what is it? Thanks.

Sounds like a lot of craziness.
So now my question is, can I change dining request prior to cruise or is it easier to try and do so once on board?Contact RC and see it you can change beforehand. I did that for one of my cruises when I found out MTD had changed and was later than I wanted.

I would show up a little before your arrival time to either park or be dropped off and drop off luggage, then head to terminal.
-
Not much as Platinum. I did get a discount on RC merchandise from the onboard shop. I had to ask for it and show the paper where it listed the discount so it's not automatic. You do get invited to the top tier event. I go, but it's not like it was pre-Covid. My next cruise I'll be Emerald.

I got the email. I have a payment due on Christmas Eve. I tried to read through the guidelines. If I pay my final payment before December 10, will I get the bonus points?
-
No, I didn't get a survey.

Has anyone snorkeled at this beach? How is it?
Is the beach rocky? Will water shoes be a good idea?
I saw the ship excursions for snorkeling state they will walk to a nearby beach to snorkel. Since I have snorkeling gear, I figure I can save money by just walking to the beach.

Maybe the staff don't have 80s attire.

Of course, I'm very partial to my own mac-and-cheese: super cheesy and creamy, small elbows or rotini noodles, and a bit of onion diced small.
My mac and cheese is delicious!

When I was on Vision, my daughter was going to order this, but the waiter said there wasn't very much lobster in it so she ordered something else. The mac and cheese in the WJ isn't good either.

Vision is in Baltimore until at least April 2025.
Vision moving to Norfolk?

I had a great time on the March 23 to April 4 cruise on Vision. My bus experience wasn't bad. I know some people had a worse experience. Hopefully Vision will be able to return to Baltimore soon.
The drydock will mainly address technical issues we were told, nothing really cosmetic or adding new stuff.
