  1. Last time I did Chef's Table, they called me in my cabin 3 times in the time leading up to ask about allergies/restrictions. If they aren't as persistent, you can call them when you board. At the one I did we had one person who had a "no seafood" restriction" and one with a "nothing green" restriction. They were both accommodated.

  2. Cosco Scenera NEXT is a very lightweight option.

As far as compact strollers, we have a gb Pockit, it folds down to next to nothing, fits under an airline seat, and folds/unfolds really easily. It is a bit spendier than umbrella strollers, but the extra space was worth it to me.

  3. Grab a drink on the way to dropping bags in the room, check everything is there that should be, then have some lunch, check our dining room table assignment and we used to wait on serenity until muster. Now, we have a little one, so we'll have to find somewhere else to hang out.

  4. This was in Long Beach, not sure if they do it differently other places. They put a block on the room to alert the person checking you in that they need to see the letter and get the form signed. Then they put in a supervisor code saying those things have happened and it's done. It can take a bit because Long Beach is a bit chaotic and tracking down a supervisor can take a bit.

  5. I cruised at 14 weeks with Hyperemesis Gravidarum. I had just gotten out of the hospital a week prior. I had a PICC line and had to put IV meds in it 4-6 times a day. We had booked the cruise over a year out.

I'd do it again. The cruise was when I stopped losing weight and started gaining! My doctor told me that the cruise was the best place for me--24 hour access to any kind of food I wanted, people trying to feed me constantly, walking for exercise and relaxing as much as possible. I wasn't allowed in the pool, because of my picc, but you could, just no hot tub :(

I had to call Carnival in advance because in addition to being pregnant, I required a sharps container for my room and was carrying on a substantial amount of liquid IV meds. When we arrived, they wanted to see the letter from my doctor, had me sign a form, and had to have a supervisor "unblock" our room, so try to arrive early, mine took a while. Other than that, listen to your body. Ask your doctor if they think it's ok, ask them about anti nausea/seasickness meds, bring the stretchy pants and go for it!

  6. Thought I'd share something comical with you fine folks. We're going on a 4/3 B2B starting Monday. We got the "your embarkation time is 1:30-2:30" email--for the second leg. I burst out laughing. We have FTTF for the first leg, so maybe they are noticing that and not sending them and that's why we didn't get it for both...I just find it funny to get it for the second leg when we're (supposedly) marked as B2B!

  7. You'll take the shuttle, it's $3 for a round trip (or it was in February) and they'll try to sell you tours. Last time we were there they were selling the bufadora for $15. The shuttle drops right at the ticket office to buy the tours, or you can just wander off.

We've walked to town from the pier before...I don't recommend it.

  8. I called special needs yesterday and they told me it would be $3. It was $3 last time, too. We marked it on the account as well. I had also marked that I'll need a sharps container, but since we're cruising in 9 days I wanted to follow up and sure enough, special needs hadn't gotten that yet.

Make sure to hand carry your CPAP and extension cord, they will check for it if it's on your profile at check in. We always tuck a roll of masking tape in there too, to tape the cord to the floor and minimize tripping :)

  9. I agree, we'll never cruise on either ship again. Isn't worth the trouble for us and the experience wasn't anything to talk about. OP, If you like to be around drunks, puke, and obnoxious people then both ships are for you. Save your money and go to Las Vegas.

Done the 3 and 4 day, never had those issues. On the 3 day, yes, it's a bit louder, but honestly, it's a vacation! People are up late, dancing, having fun! Not everyone wants a floating retirement home. Pro tip: on 3 day cruises if you are up before 8 am you'll be all alone wherever you go.

  10. Neither one they are old & dark, step up to something newer.

We aren't exactly brimming with choices over here on the left coast.

I loved the imagination, will be on the inspiration soon. They are pretty much interchangeable, go with the one that fits your dates better.
