  1. I did  get the beverage package on my sailing for $46.00 plus 18% total per person was $379.96. That being said when I was  first going to purchase it thru the cruise planner it was close to midnight and the price showed $46.00 But when i added the package to the cart the price seemed high when checking the math the price was $61.00 plus 18% per person. so why the difference  I wondered, well what happened  was the promo for $46.00 ended at midnight and the new price was $61.00  and  I added it to the cart after midnight so I was now being charged the new price. I waited until the package went back on sale and did get it for the $46.00 per day a few weeks later.

We have just booked our first ever Royal Caribbean cruise (Mediterranean next summer (hopefully!)) and I'm trying to understand how beverages/drinks work. If I don't buy any kind of beverage package, is water (filtered, but not bottled), iced tea, coffee, and lemonade available on a self-serve basis anywhere on the Vision of the Seas? I think if we want soda/specialty coffee/alcohol/juice/bottled water, we will have to buy a package, but what about the rest?  Is it self-serve in WindJammer or somewhere else?  Can I order any of that from the bars or poolside, and if so, is there a charge for it (assuming no package)?

    Thank you for any guidance!

There is Filtered water, Lemonade, Iced Tea, Coffee , Tea Bags, and sometimes Hot Chocolate ,Juices during breakfast  hours in the windjammer. You get Soda, Specialty Coffee, bottled water ala cart thru out the ship you do not need a drink package for that. As for the Pool area i don't know about the beverages avail in windjammer delivered to the pool I have never asked  for them i would guess it would be bottled water, soda or bar drinks that would be a charge

My wife had an offer code 20RBO104. I am sure that was inside. What I don't know is the FREE PLAY amount. Does anyone here have that ? Also to actually get your FREE PLAY while on the ship. Does it have to show on the reservation confirmation ?

I called into Casino Royale about 7 30PM  CDT and got an answer, but line disconnected. Phoned in again, and got a person for booking a new cruise. Line/conversation was awful for 5 minutes. Then the internet digital packet loss and delay cleared up. I got one cruise booked.

If you have any free play with your offer it will be a line item on you booking invoice under cruise fare and be something like this TBB8-FP100 hope this helps

  4. I had cancelled a cruise also before final payment by several months and I was told by multiple reps you could add their insurance up until the final payment but only had a set amount of time to cancel it and get you money back from time of purchase, I don’t remember what that time was for sure but I seem to remember getting 15 days to 30 days as answers

Which of course is covered in another sub-section of the novel that are the RCI T&C.

Since these novels are written by lawyers, the advice should be to seek independent legal advice. Suggesting non-lawyers can reach an exact understanding by reading T&C (and all the associated and referenced documents) is poor advice.

well in this case it is pretty clear to me that if I use up my credit they will keep charging  as stated in their terms specific to arcade credit. Guest will not be notified once Arcade Credits are depleted; additional arcade play will be charged to guest’s Seapass at current onboard prices  didn't need any legal counsel to know exactly what would happens if I use up my credit. If we just do a little reading most likely will not need to follow your advice to "seek independent legal advise".

  8. While I feel bad for the OP , I think RCCL was generous in giving any refund. we all need to start reading the terms of things we use to make sure we understand exactly what we are purchasing and know what rights we are giving the company we purchased from I say this because. If purchased thru the cruise planner there is an Additional Terms and Conditions Apply  link which when clicked states the following Arcade Credit Offer (“Offer”) must be purchased using Cruise Planner and no less than two days prior to cruise departure. Offer provides 20% discount off onboard purchase of arcade credits valued at $100 (“Arcade Credits”). Price shown at time of purchase reflects discount and in USD (“Purchase Price”). To redeem the Arcade Credits, Guest must visit Arcade on first day of cruise and present confirmation letter found in stateroom. Guest will not be notified once Arcade Credits are depleted; additional arcade play will be charged to guest’s Seapass at current onboard prices

and as far as the Glitch based on above I think that is the way the system is designed and the person on the phone was just another misinformed RCCL rep.

  9. I am going to say Renew before while it normally does not come into play on closed loop it can. While no one plans on something happening things do. I  had a client go on a closed loop cruise in the Caribbean and unforeseen events happened and they were forced to stay in port when the ship left. Since their Passports expired in less than six months the airport check point would not accept the passport , it was a big hassle for them to get home.  I would renew now , I don't like to take chances like that .

Do you remember what they charged for a Martini,  my wife's Cosmo was about 3 or 4 dollars more than my gin and tonic.  With  the new prices a package pays for itself quick.

Sorry I do not recall  but , I don't think that all Drinks are now $13.99 there is a live from the Symphony this week and on page 9 the poster has a  menu from playmakers posted and the cocktails are listed at $12.00 so I think not much has changed from the past few months.  link below to live review

First of all the mixed drinks including the frozen are $13.99.

Just a question for clarification on all mixed drinks. Are you saying that there were no mixed drinks under $13.99 I was under the impression that the Bev package  had a drink price limit of $13.00 on Oasis class ships,  if all adult beverages are $13.99 that would mean with the package you would still be paying 99 cents per drink plus 18% on the difference.  I don't think that a simple rum and coke would be $13.99 maybe $10.00 .  Just don't want new people to think that they are going to pay $1.16 every adult beverage that have when they have the Bev Package unless they are only drinking $13.99 priced drinks.
