Hi,
Driving back to Canada from cruise in March. Where is the cheapest place to get a Rapid Test done near the Baltimore Cruise port? The one that I Found beside the cruise terminal was $100 USD.
Any one find anything cheaper? Location please.
You can search online at CVS pharmacy (I have read at times they have cancelled appts last minute)
also many urgent care centers provide them. I have used the University of Maryland Urgent Care

No
i spoke with a senior representative of Cruise Maryland and was told by Royal Caribbean they are not leaving Baltimore. They said they are looking at different ship options before naming the Enchantment replacement

Unlikely they will jump to that kind of occupancy level that quickly mid term.
According to a Royal executive who was on board I talked to. There are expecting 1600 for the revenue cruise

I was told 325 accepted however it seems to be a little under 300 due to no shows.
235 was final total

Check the East Coast Departures board for info.
This question was originally posted on the East Coast Departure board but for some reason some genius moved it over to this board

Royal Caribbean Group said Tuesday that Chief Executive Richard Fain is stepping down after more than 33 years in the role and will be replaced by Jason Liberty, who is currently chief financial officer. Fain will make the move on Jan. 3 and continue as chair of the board. Fain is the third-longest serving CEO among S&P 500 companies, the company said. "Under Fain's leadership, the Royal Caribbean Group introduced new and distinctive ship categories, with a diverse range of amenities and experiences that transformed the nature of cruising," it said. Liberty joined the company in 2005 and has served in financial, strategic and operational roles before becoming finance head in 2013. He will be replaced as CFO by Naftali Holtz, currently senior vice president of finance.

Tony, I marched 16 years with the Long Island Kingsmen. My son marched Blue Stars and Cavaliers.
I marched with a local neighborhood corps then marched with Westshoremen for a season.

Tony, your profile pic wouldn't have something to do with SCV would it? If not, just ignore the comment as it relates to a niche activity.

What about the best western on o'donnal st? Is that safe?

No Between the track stop across the street the drug dealing down the street and the ladies of the night visiting the truck stop. But some has stayed there and got luck with no problems

Someone on FB claimed/wrote that the ship is at 75% capacity. I find that very difficult to believe.
But we shall see....................
On Oasis now was told by concierge we are sailing with about 2500 passengers

MSC's Armonia, and perhaps others, are a similar size to Enchantment and Pride, so presumably would fit.
I'm sure it's just my fantasy, as I believe the Port can only accommodate parking for two ships sailing on different days, but, after sailing on MSC just before the lockdowns, we got a new favorite cruise line. MSC (Mediterranean Shipping Company) has a Status Match program wherein those with a loyalty level with another line can apply for a match, with some nice benefits.
It would be so nice to be able to sail MSC without having to fly to Florida!
There is plenty of parking in the South Locust Point Marine Terminal where Cruise Maryland is located

Oasis sailings start 9.05 out of bayonne and will be stopping in port Canaveral every week. My 9.26 sailing has all the usual PC excursions.
Not many options for this cruise also. I booked originally the Kennedy Space Center tour. But now with a 2pm arrival and the center closing at 5 pm ( confirmed by phone call ) it made no sense to pay $100 plus per person. So I cancelled

Haven't read anything about it so am wondering the protocols for Oasis out of NJ. Are guests 12+ required to be vaccinated? I'm guessing so, especially due to the new Bahamas rule. We are sailing Anthem out of NJ so guessing ours will be the same.
The September protocol has been released on their website.

If you book the Crowne Plaza or DoubleTree San Perdo right now for your cruise, you might get one for that price before taxes. If you wait other cruisers will start booking and drive the rate on the night before the cruise up.
Other than that you are looking at the Best Western Plus San Pedro Hotel & Suites, which isn't a great location.
Got the Crown Plaza for $140

Thanks , I hope the original poster returns. I believe i saw you mention a Park & Cruise website in another post they currently have 3 hotels listed.
6571 Eastern Ave Baltimore, MD 21224 (Baltimore Cruise Port Hampton Inn)
301 Fallsway Baltimore MD 21202 (Baltimore SLeep Inn)
6755 Dorsey Road Elkridge, MD (Best Western Plus BWI)
I don't think i will be choosing the Sleep Inn from the various reviews the place seems unsafe. Any opinions on the Hampton Inn?
Sorry for the slight thread jack
The one on Eastern Ave is new. Nothing really around the area.
The sleep inn is on the edge of downtown I don’t recommend this place.
Honestly be careful when picking hotel in Baltimore City. Yes there are some good areas but crime is rampant and the city states attorney doesn’t prosecute crime as she is worried about the federal criminal investigation again her and her husband.
the website is trinityreservations dot com

I believe this one "6755 Dorsey Rd, Elkridge, MD 21075"
It is one that is currently listed on a recommended park/stay site. I sail 9/19 and trying to decided which hotel to choose , but without knowing the area its confusing.
Yes that is a good area as it’s within the BWI Airport district many cruisers have stayed in different hotels in that area.

Recommendation for hotel as we will be leaving for cruise this October. Thanks
