  1. Just did a short Divina cruise and I would sail MSC again.  The beds WERE hard, however.  I thought the food was good on the buffet and in dining room.  The only thing lacking was the deserts.  If you enjoy Guys Burgers on Carnival, would will probably be disappointed with MSCs burgers.  I thought the shows were good and service very good.

  2. Just took my 1st MSC cruise last week.  A 3 night in Divina to test MSC out.  We had the easy drinks package and loved it.  We liked that when they gave you a beer or Diet Coke they didn’t open it for you and could get multiple drinks on one order.
Divina was beautiful and seemed to have much more in the ways of stairs and elevators compared to other large ships.  I thought the food was very good in the restaurant and on the buffet.  The only thing lacking was the desserts.  I would definitely book MSC again in a heartbeat!

  3. I agree with avoiding Playa Mia—we went last cruise and would never go back.  Drinks were watered down, non-existent beach service and no paddle boards 😞. I haven’t been to Mr Sanchos or Nachi to compare but I think I prefer a place where you pay ala cart.  I love Chankanaab and Paradise Beach.

  4. Not impressed with Playa Mia.  Waiter seated us on a beach chair and never returned after we ordered drinks.  We had to go up to the bar to get our drinks.  The waiter had the nerve to say to my sister when she moved to get out of the rain "Thanks for the tip"!!!  He never even returned once!!??  Why would we tip him??  Were we supposed to tip him up front?  Ive always tipped at the end.  Anyways, I was also disappointed that they didn't have paddleboards like Paradis Beach and they made you wear life vest for every water activity.

  5. Anyone know what Latisse would cost? So pricey in the U.S.! (I know it's available in MX because I actually saw it listed on a sign when looking at a video of Mr. Sanchos beach complex.)

A few years ago I paid $40 for it in Belize. For some reason, I thought I had read that someone paid $50 for it in Cozumel but now I can't find where I saw that...

  6. In the middle of the non-smoking section there is a bank of three back to back (six total) that is off the main aisle between the slots and the tables. There was a cat one, a stars and moon one, and a aztec like game. Anyway, they were only 15-20 cents a spin. The one that was moons and stars and owls (sorry I never caught the specific name) even gave free games frequently at 20 cents. Our whole group tried that machine it didn't just eat money and a two of us left the cruise up from it.

Thanks for the heads up! 15-20 cents spin is more doable as it will take me longer to lose all my money :')

  7. I always liked "Fortune Cookie" but it is an older machine that you rarely see anymore. Last time I was on Brilliance they had 2 or 3 of them though. I was supposed to be on AOS out of PR on 9/30 but that cruise was cancelled. I was hoping they had my Fortune Cookie! lol Now we are on Allure in November and because it is such a new ship, I know they won't have it. I don't like the new machines so I probably won't play slots on this cruise (other than the slot tournament).

  8. We were booked on the 9/30 AOS cruise that was cancelled and were able to re-book on a Nov. sailing of Allure. My sister purchased the drink program and got it credited back to her credit card. When she went to book it on Allure, it was about $70 more. Just wondered if the price changes per ship or if maybe she should wait to book it for a "special" I never book it so I don't know anything about it. Thanks!

  9. Will be in Cozumel in November. Have been many times and we usually do Chankanaab or Paradise Beach but I would like to try some place different. Looking at Playa Mia as I like the inflatables, water toys, etc. I know Paradise Beach has paddleboards but I didn't see anything on Playa Mia's page about them. Just wondered if anyone who has been there recently could comment on this. Thanks!

  10. I would also recommend that if it's too late for you to get travel insurance with RC, check with your credit card you paid off your cruise with. Mine offers travel insurance automatically on flights and travel as long as you paid for the trip entirely with the credit card.

Would you mind letting us know which credit card this is? Looking for a new credit card and this is definitely sounds like a good perk!
