  1. Hi,

Not sure if this has been asked before but we are travelling on the Azura A932A and wondered what P&O does on New Year's eve and New Year's day?

From what I have found, New Year's eve is a gala dinner followed by a deck party. Is this correct? What happens on New Year's day... is there any special events or is it business as usual?

    Thanks

  2. The Royal is only two years older than Britannia [emoji6] but P&O could have altered the outlet arrangement. I did not crawl under the bed to verify but the 220V European outlet for one lamp on the nightstand should be accessible. There is also the low current draw combo U.S./European outlet in the bathroom. The outlet behind the television is really no longer accessible because the TV is wall mounted.

    Thanks :)

  3. At the desk on the Royal and Regal there are three separate single outlets, two U.S. 120V and one European 220V. Unlike on most Princess ships where there is only one duplex outlet at the desk, the two U.S. outlets are spaced far apart and are both usable, even with bulky adapters.

Are there anywhere else in the cabin? We have stayed in this class of cabin on Britannia and are guessing that there is roughly the same number but as this is an older vessel you never know I guess

  4. We were disappointed by Britannia when we sailed last... they messed up the booking and we had several problems... we felt the P&O brand wasn't as strong as before but liked the ideas so we thought we would try Princess...

From what we have heard, the Royal seems the best bet for the family and can't wait to try Princess... Can't wait to try a new line :)

  5. Hi,

Does anyone have a picture looking down on the aft balconies on Royal princess as are worried people on deck 16 might see the balconies. We are in A738 and A739. Does anyone have any experience in these cabins or any pictures of the balcony? We can't work out the size of the balcony. Thanks

  6. I was wondering if it is possible to have your cruise card open a different cabin to the one you are booked on or can you get a card that lets you into another cabin. We have 2 next door cabins but the children are split across the two rooms but want to sleep in the same room

Is there any way that we can sort something out???

  7. Hi All,

I probably sound really weird but are sailing on Azura in 3 weeks time in D117. This is an NC Grade cabin with 2 sofa beds. We have been in an inside before but can't remember them having a sofa. Does anyone have any pictures or can share any information on these cabins as are not sure what to expect.

    Thanks

  8. P&O are still continuing Fly Cruising next year but with the Oceana due to the new bans on cruise ships in Venice???

I am still considering booking the Ventura Fly Cruise in August but still like you am not sure about flying

I'm sure whatever you choose will be enjoyable

  9. Help!!!!

What are the main differences between Azura and Ventura???

Either thinking of booking a 14 night Fly Cruise on Ventura or a 17 night Eastern Mediterranean on Azura.

If you were in my position which would you book???

    Thanks in advanced :)

  10. Thanks everyone!

It is less than 2 weeks to go now. Does anyone who the cruise director and the captain is currently on board as I can't seem to find any information anywhere. We have cruised with Neil Oliver before and really really liked him so fingers crossed it is him

  11. We have just been allocated 2 C Deck balcony cabins on the port side. C222 and C226. Has anyone had any experiences with this type of balcony. I am aware they are slightly bigger than the ones on A Deck but not sure the difference. Also, what sort of entertainment is on board a 2 night cruise. I have heard people say they are more party cruises. :)

  12. Sailing onboard Azura for 2 nights in May and wondering what the dress code will be whilst onboard and when it would be. We booked an early saver fare and live local so we enjoy seeing the ship sail past the Isle of Wight. We wouldn't really want the black tie to be the day we embark.

    Thanks for any advice

  13. Thanks,

I think we will choose the Independence as there is not much difference and she seems to do a better itinerary. She seems such a nice ship and lots of people have very good reviews :) Is it worth spending the extra money for a balcony stateroom or staying with an inside???

  14. Thanks,

I think we are going to choose between the Liberty or the Independence as they cruise in and around the half term. Oasis is a little bit to early for us even though she is a lovely ship. Quantum is going to Cape Liberty and this is the wrong sort of area for us. I believe it is Independences last year out of Southampton so it would be quite nice to sail her. Also, Independence has been refurbished recently and Liberty hasn't. If you can share any information on the ships that would be gratefully appreciated. The whole family really likes DreamWorks and I have heard that Liberty has this and Independence doesn't.

  15. Hi all,

I am thinking of booking a Caribbean transatlantic in and around October/November time. We are a family of five with 3 kids and are not sure which ship would be best for us. We would prefer to depart from Southampton as we live local but are open to sailing from Barcelona. As a family, we prefer the mega ships like the Liberty, Independence, Oasis and Quantum.

Any help would be appreciated, :)
