The Cruise Compass (read it daily) had a very severe warning about smoking in Cozumel as it is not permitted and anyone caught smoking could be detained for 36 hours. As I was walking to the faux beach, I passed a lady smoking and saw 3 security guys scurrying in her direction. I did not stick around to find out what happened. Talking to someone later they said that a 36 hour detaining was unlikely, as the person likely would just be charged a fine and escorted off the island.

Thanks for the great live blog.

Just a question about what is being smoked? I don't smoke anything, but was just wondering.

We have used Park n Go at least a dozen times.  They run a very efficient operation.  They have plenty of vans and lots of staff.  When going to the ship, they wait for the vans to fill up but that is usually 5 minutes or less. I wouldn’t bother dropping off luggage at the port.

When picking us off the ship, we have sometimes left immediately with just us on the van as there were shuttles right behind us.  They take you right to your car and will even load your car if you want.  We tip the driver both coming and going.

in all of our trips, we went straight to our ship, no multiple stops.

If you pay in advance, the cost is way less than the port and there is minimal walking involved.

This has been our experience with them for 8-9 times we've used them. They are really good at what they do.

Oh so sorry to hear, hope you recover quickly. The anticipation of that test was most stressful part of the process! I’m curious if you received credit for future cruise?

We could have but we just did the cash back. The worst part for us was that we had gotten a Black Friday deal on Coco Cay, and are unlikely to see it that cheap when we book another cruise.

    Enjoying your pictures!

I'm just North of Tampa, found a place in outlet mall, paid my 129.99 via credit card to get appt tomorrow, hope I didn't just get scammed. Called several walk in clinics prices vary, but said all booked up. cvs and Walgreens don't have appts for rapid test until next week.

If you care to travel to North Sarasota, you can go here: COVID-19 Testing | Sarasota County, FL (scgov.net)   It is the antigen test that is also accepted by RCI. Get there as early as you can. It is open Saturday. We got our results in less than 30 minutes. We were in line before 8.  You stay in your car.

  5. Probably like many of you, with all the cancellations we had FCC. We had forgotten about 2 of them. Yesterday both my DW and I received emails from Royal reminding us about them and how we could use them. They enabled us to pay off all but about $65 dollars of the last remaining cruise we have scheduled for later this year.

THANK YOU, Royal Caribbean for being honest concerning the FCC!

  6. After just taking time off from planning a cruise, we decided to book another.

We tried to contact our consultant but was unable to so I am sure he no longer works for Royal. Are their consultants working now?

Any experience or wisdom about it would be appreciated.
