Day 2 in Nassau.  FlowRider was open 9-11:30AM and again 2-6.  I was a bit late at 2:30PM as I was screaming at my Ipad at Toto Wolfe for being a complete idiot, and not pitting Lewis giving Max an easy win from an impossible situation.  I didn’t listen to any post race, because I was already late.  I was in a foul mood, but FlowRider therapy helped.

I can understand the Toto Wolfe comment - it was an interesting race to say the least.

  2. Sorry if the title doesn't make sense - I was not sure how to put it.

Three years ago I was in a suite on the Allure of the Seas. During one of the stops (I think it was Nassau) - the suite guests were invited to be on the Helipad as we were leaving that port. It was a really cool experience.

I am on the Allure again in about a month and again in a suite. Is that perk still happening?

    Thanks.

  3. Have 4 weeks until my cruise - the anticipation is killing me on getting the upgrade.

I am extremely happy with my current room and will not complain at all if I don't get the upgrade. However, the upgrade bid would move us from a sky class to a star class - that is what will kill me on the waiting...LOL

Can you use it on Christmas or Christmas Eve? I looked at it for our NYE cruise on Navigator and Specialty dining is $99pp on NYE and the UDP does not give you an option to dine in either CHOPS or Jaime's as they are both offering a "Holiday Dinner".

Probably not. I’m on a XMas cruise and the Christmas dinner at Chops is a separate purchase.

One thing I do want to add - and this should be fairly obvious - PLEASE make sure that you are disposing of your used masks properly.

Whether you are on land or at sea, place used masks in a waste receptacle and not tossing them onto the ground or off into the ocean.

You’d be surprised at how quickly a hospital parking lot or parking garage can become littered with used masks when people just don’t care.

This has been a friendly public service announcement.

    👍😁

Totally agree with you on that. It drives me nuts to see any garbage (mask or anything else) on the ground when there are trash cans all around.

That appears to be a standard issue surgical mask which should compose of three layers.

ASTM Level 2 and Level 3 is the mask’s ability to block blood arterial spray from getting inside the mask.

The Level 2 is fine for every day use. I have a few hundred green ones of those and wear them at the hospital at my desk job.

    😎

Thank you.  The "layer" thing is what confused me.  I was thinking one full mask on top of another - and not the "folds" that are incorporated into the mask.

  7. Okay - rather than starting a new thread - figured I would ask in this one. I am confused over the Royal mandate of the masks - 2 layers. What does that mean? I have been wearing these at home and no one seems to say anything. Will these be okay on the cruise? The box does not say anything about 2 layers - but states they are Level 2.

    Thanks.

  8. I apologize if this is not the proper forum for this question.

I am scheduled for the Allure in December and one of the stops is St. Kitts. I booked one of the tours - the Safari Island Drive. I am just wondering if anyone has done this tour. The description states that it is an open-air safari vehicle - but I am not quite sure what that means. It is a jeep-type vehicle? I am more curious than anything else - I just didn't want a big tour bus type of vehicle.

    Thanks.

  9. I am cruising from Port Everglades on December 23rd. However, I am flying down (early) on the 21st. Not sure what I am going to do yet as I am going to have to fly down no matter what.

At this point, I am just waiting to see what the protocols are going to be come December. I may book a rapid test at a local CVS/Walgreens in Fort Lauderdale once I get there. Other than the port testing that they are now doing - I may not have any other choice (I am not comfortable with the "at-home" test that I can do).

  10. Okay - I realize that things could change between now and December when we cruise but I am just wondering how things are working right now.

We are cruising with our 14 year old daughter on the Allure. Due to it being Christmas - she is not bringing a friend. I know that Royal used to do a meet and greet for the teens at the very beginning of the cruise. Are they still running that (or something similar)?

Again - I know that things could change before December (heck - they could change tomorrow).

    Thanks.

Beef wellington is always good.  They have excellent french onion soup.  Omg, lots of things I like.

I was wondering if they served Beef Wellington. Was that a special for one night or was it available every night. I will be on the Allure in December so I will look for it.
