i did look at some posts on here and still, dont know wat to do in lol been trying to look up more tours but all the ones im looking at are so expensive because they charge by how many people are in your group

Yes, Santorini is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Just wondering around is perfectly acceptable. But "best" is a totally subjective personal opinion, and if you asked 10 people, you would likely get 20 different answers. Have you looked around this board?

"Best" is what interests you, and fits in your budget and limitations. Not what we tell you it is.

 

That being said, going to Oia is a great idea. There are MANY threads on how to get there- ferry, bus, taxi, even walking. Just takes a little research.

I don't really know what there is to do there besides admire the sites and take photos. Usually there's rankings on excursions and im just trying to get a feel of what other people have done there

we booked with vacation outlet and their excursions arnt that great and are expensive

one i was looking at goes to oia for the full day on a tour but also goes on a wine tour which i do not want to do, really want to see the sunset but idk if that will be to late to get back to our ship in time which leaves at 10pm

san juan or florida would probably be the best

sailed out from san juan on my last cruise

right when we got on the ship we cancelled prepaid gratuities (do it early so your not waiting in a big line) then at the end of the trip we just left an envelope of money in the room. however much you think they deserve

As our cruise gets closer (single digits) the questions keep popping up in my head!

 

What is everyone's strategy to carrying and keeping their wallets/cameras/personal items safe and dry while on the beaches or by the pool? I hate to have to worry about something getting stolen - mostly while on the beaches.

 

Does anyone use any waterproof wallets/bags that they can stuff their items in and take with them in the water? Or do we stick to throwing our stuff under a towel and trying to keep an eye on it from the water?

i got waterproof things for pretty much all my stuff,sometimes i brought my electronics in the water to take pictures and stuff and sometimes i left it in a bag on the beach and kept an eye out.usually its pretty safe on the beach,theres also other vacationers there so you could ask them to watch your things also,but waterproof things are your best bet

I just went on carnival valor and they hit 5 ports in 7 nights st thomas barbados st lucia st kitts and st maarten with 1 day at sea. Im trying to find another cruise that does this. Hits alot of ports in 7 night span.but also goes to diff islands than those previously mentiones.. i want to experience diff islands. Dnt want to go to one ive already been to. 1 or 2 is ok but I was looking at other cruises and I only see them going to like 3 ports and 2 days at sea..anyone know of any?

first cruise but wont be my last and wont be sailing with carnival everytime so id use it for future cruises as well

Smart casual and casual on Carnival basically mean wear whatever you want.

i looked up the dress code but can someone please explain it to me. using normal descriptions lol
what is smart casual,they have the worst wording -_- lol

ive packed a Suit for the captains dinner or formal night w.e you want to call it

i was going to pack jeans and a collard shirt for another night but am i allowed to wear that?
will shorts be ok during nights sometimes like cargo shorts
