  1. Hello there! So we are going on the Breeze February 12, 2017 and low and behold my hubby just had a heart attack January 23, 2017. He had 3 stents placed and is now on a low sodium diet.

Assuming ( trust me we are praying for this) assuming he gets the clearance from his cardiologist to still go on the cruise, we need to find low sodium choices.

When I went to the web, I saw carnival offers gluten free, low fat, low cholesterol etc... but didn't see a low sodium specialty diet. I have emailed them to see if there is a separate menu that can be offered. But I thought I would reach out to you all to see if you encountered this in your past cruises?

Every time I have cruised in the past we did not have dietary concerns, but with the heart attack being less that a month by the time we sail, I really want to try to plan ahead as much as I can for this.

  2. Hmmm ...With all due respect to you." Missing Your vacation for a cold" ? Really, advocating you get on a cruise ship and infect your fellow passengers.

Some people may not be able to fight that cold off. I know that is the chance you take in public places but for a medical professional to advocate ..... Oh well, if you say the rest of the passengers will be fine ,am sure that is the case :)

Don't worry about those people with respiratory issues, because it is YOUR vacation!

If someone is THAT sensitive to germs I seriously don't think they would be cruising where they KNOW 2000+ people where be around....

  4. Ok so here it is... I have FTTF but my sister didn't get it... it was sold out. She is in a different room. I was already scheduled for 10-10:30 check in before I got FTTF... we contacted carnival to see if she could take my check in time ( she is scheduled much later because she just booked 30 days out from cruise, the answer was no) ... so my question is ... can she get in the terminal if she shows my paper at the terminal? Or do they compare names?

  5. Has anyone used uber from hobby to Galveston??? If so, would you do it again? There will be 4 in our party and I am looking for a cost effective shuttle for all of us. I have used Galveston express in the past.... But there were several communication hiccups with them and now I see the prices have jumped up.... I am open to any and all suggestions!!!

  6. I have had no problem the last 3 cruises bring on my stuff. Like other people have said... Bring a power strip because his rotation of batteries will have the only available plug used. On a side note.... Before you fly... Dump the tank, the cabin pressure makes the juice leak everywhere....

  7. I was intrigued by this sideways configuration so I booked it for my upcoming cruise... Has anyone been in this cabin? Or any sideways cabin? I guess my biggest "worry" is if you can get around ok when the beds are made into a king? Not too big of a worry though, because the hubs and I can always request them to be separated if it's too tight, I would just prefer to sleep next to my hubby lol

  8. Hi there! We are going to cruise October 19th from Galveston on the triumph. It's my hubby's first cruise! Yay!!! We were looking to maybe rent bicycles in Cozumel and tour around ourselves. I understand that at the park royal hotel they have them for 15.00... But my question is... How far from the port is this hotel? Or do you all have any other suggestions for super cheap ideas while in Cozumel or Progreso?? We can spend money there if something to just to die for... But we made a personal challenge to try to really limit the money spent and make memories other ways. So if an idea DOES cost more money, please suggest it, if it's highly recommended and worth the money we have it. He isn't a huge water fan ( yeah I know... Weird that he will be on a cruise ship but not like water lol) so a beach stroll would be fine... Just no snorkeling or anything. Suggestions welcomed!!!
